A listing (from most current to furthest back) of any write-up posts in which Jim has been mentioned:
  • It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's Hof-Mann! (Nov 18th, 2025) - The thirteenth week of Fall 2025 thundered onto the lanes like a runaway ball hurtling toward a trembling 7–10 split. Two teams clawed their way upward in the standings, two teams spiraled downward in heartbreak, and everyone else clung to their dignity like a bowler trying not to foul on a slick approach. JoAnne Barber unleashed a blistering 143 to seize this week’s high game for the women, and her iron-willed consistency netted her a powerful 378 for the women’s high series. Over on the men’s side, Nick Kinney blasted a 212 to earn the week’s top men’s game, while Matthew Taylor carved through the oil with a gorgeous 570 to secure the high series for the men. Meanwhile, AJ Hofmann cemented his place in league history by winning Most Valuable Bowler once again — now more times than anyone else in the league’s history — proving that some legends just keep stacking titles. And that was only the beginning. What followed was drama, triumph, collapse, glory, and enough emotional turbulence to make the pins file a workplace hazard report. • Not Even a Geomagnetic Storm Can Change the Standings (Nov 11th, 2025) - After a 2-week break a stagnated twelfth week of Fall 2025 turned into a twisted tale of triumph, torment, and tenpins. Though the standings refused to budge an inch—as if frozen in pin purgatory—bowling passions blazed hotter than a malfunctioning popcorn machine. One fearless competitor etched a new personal best series into history, while also reaching stratospheric heights with a career-high game. JoAnne Barber dazzled for the women, claiming this week’s high game (156) and series (401), while Nick Kinney thundered through the pins with a men’s high game (222) and series (583). The pins trembled, the bowlers roared, and the crowd gasped—read on for all the epic, hilarious, and occasionally heartbreaking details, and don't forget to check on your Bingo results.

  • The Standings Stagnation Continues (and is continued until November 11) (Oct 28th, 2025) - A supposedly routine eleventh week of Fall 2025 bowling turned into a tension-soaked stalemate of destiny, with the standings refusing to budge even a single stubborn inch. Yet fate still crowned heroes: JoAnne Barber ignited the night with the women's high game of 154 and a commanding 419 series, while Dennis Walling detonated pins across the lane to seize the men’s high game (218) and series (567). History paused. A hush fell. Then someone yelled "Practice is ending!" and the league chaos continued. Prepare yourself — everything else you need is below, and drama awaits at every approach! And don't forget to check on your Bingo results.

  • Hot 3 on 1 Action (Oct 21st, 2025) - Despite every match ending 3-1, a stagnated tenth week of Fall 2025 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings — like a bowling ball that just ran out of spin. But even in still waters, greatness shines. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (126) and series (357) for the women, proving steady precision can still earn top honors. As for the men, Aaron Barber blasted through the competition to claim this week’s high game with a 214, while the ever-dominant Ian Estey earned high series with a stellar 604. The teams may have stayed in their ranks, but the tension? Sky-high. Read on for the rest of the drama, laughter, and heartbreak that defined Week 10.

  • St. Nick Came Early (Oct 14th, 2025) - With the season now more than halfway through, Week 9 of Fall 2025 delivered thunder, heartbreak, and St. Nick showed up to deliver a new personal best that sent shockwaves through the alley. One team clawed its way up the standings, another tumbled down, and one Nick set a new season and personal record. JoAnne Barber landed this week's high game for the women with a clutch 133, while Cat Atwood’s cool-headed consistency secured the women’s high series with a 358. On the men’s side, Nick Kinney once again proved unstoppable, rolling this week's high game (268) and high series (698)—just two pins shy of a 700. Read on, brave reader, for the full tale of triumph and tragedy!

  • TheOHHHHHHH!!!!! (Oct 7th, 2025) - We are now halfway through the Fall 2025 season, and the tension is thick enough to slice with a bowling pin. Every frame counts now for those hungry for the championship. Unlike recent seasons, First Place has become a hot potato no one can seem to hold — this week brought our fifth leader change so far, and FanDuel can barely keep up with the ever-changing stats. Week eight saw two teams claw their way upward in the standings while two others took a tumble into despair. One bowler rolled a personal best that left jaws on the floor. JoAnne Barber picked up this week’s high game (156) and series (401) for the women, while Nick Kinney dominated with this week’s high game (275) and series (626) for the men. Hold onto your shoes and read on — this league night had drama, heartbreak, and triumph in equal measure!

  • No! Not No! Not Theo! In First! (Sep 9th, 2025) - The fourth week of Fall 2025 struck like lightning across the alleys, reshaping the destiny of the standings in one fell swoop. One team clawed their way up the ladder, another slipped into despair, and one bowler etched their personal best into league lore. Sparks flew when Cat Atwood unleashed a blistering 153 to seize the women’s high game, while JoAnne Barber coolly stacked a 365 to claim women’s high series. On the men’s side, Nick Kinney erupted with a thunderous 246 high game, but the night belonged to Matthew Taylor, whose unstoppable 625 secured the men’s high series. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions roared to life, the beginning of 13 weeks of head-to-head battles where heroes will be made and pretenders unmasked. The pins never knew what hit them — and this is only the beginning.

  • Team 2 Is Great Again! (Sep 2nd, 2025) - Because the team named for my beautiful TARIFFS has jumped into first place -- the highest place, a level never before seen, I, your Favorite President Donald J. Trump, am writing this week's recap. The third week of Fall 2025 was absolutely tremendous, folks — really historic. We saw winners rise, losers tumble, and believe me, everybody was talking about it. Two teams climbed the standings — beautiful climbing, the best kind — while two very sad, very weak teams slipped down. Cat Atwood, who is just terrific, totally dominated with this week’s high game (150) and series (391) for the women, while Aaron Barber — a tremendous bowler, by the way — delivered the men’s high game (211) and series (615). And now the Tournament of Champions divisions are set, ready for some incredible, one-on-one action beginning next week. People are calling it the best lineup in history. Read on — it only gets better!
