Week 12 RoboHeaderA stagnated twelfth week of Spring 2026 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (114) and series (329) for the women. As for the men, Ben Spencer snagged this week's high game with a 211, and high series was earned by Seth Gunderson with a 584. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: Thots & Spares hoped to be able to outperform 3 Pins and a Gutter. Demonstrating the prowess of AJ Hofmann with his 502 series, Thots collected 3 wins against Gutterly Pinned. Concurrently, Jeremy Varnell with his 383 series emboldened Gutterly Pinned despite his team notching only a single win. Thots & Spares remains in 3rd place, while Gutterly Pinned remains in 6th.

week12On lanes 3 & 4: A well-matched pair of rivals gathered as Hot-n-Ready® attempted to deliver menacing stares toward Squid Row. Reinforced by #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Seth Gunderson and his above-average 584 series, The Ready® split the series with Squids. In the meantime, Matthew Taylor with his 580 series propped up Squids (with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler Dennis Walling) as they matched their opponent in wins. Hot-n-Ready® remains in 1st place, while Squids remain in 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 5 & 6: The Queenpins drew pistols at dawn with Walk Offs. Starring Dustin Schmeltz with his 525 series, Queenpins pumped up their record with a clean sweep over Walkers. On the adjacent lane, Chris Hagan with his slightly-off 349 series ruled Walkers despite his team getting swept. The Queenpins remains in 4th place, while Walkers remain in 5th.

Bowlers who stumbled into The 200 Club include: Ben Spencer (211), Dennis Walling (201), Ian Estey (209), Matthew Taylor (202,202), and Seth Gunderson (200)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Matthew Taylor walloped Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Scott Murdock came closest). Nobody claimed victory in Division 3, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about Division 3 as it was a complete embarassment, and Jesse Sauerbrei made quick work of Division 4. In terms of overall points: Ian Estey holds the reins in Division 1; Scott Murdock runs the show in Division 2; Tim Deddens reigns over Division 3; and Brian Schaben governs Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 1&2, 5th-place Walk Offs (hcp 187) will compete against 2nd-place Squid Row. Walkers are expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Squids are forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 3&4, 4th-place The Queenpins (hcp 3) will share a couple of pitchers with 3rd-place Thots & Spares. Queenpins might roll a little low and just barely lose the series; while Thots ought to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 5&6, 6th-place 3 Pins and a Gutter (hcp 167) will tussle with 1st-place Hot-n-Ready®. Gutterly Pinned is predicted to have a bit of an off night and get swept; while The Ready® is anticipated to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.

*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
