Jon Little, with his waving hair (honestly, it’s giving indie rock heartthrob), popped off a 202 game but couldn’t sustain the magic.

With Ryan Sisco and Lindsay Sargent absent, the bench felt emptier than a ball return during league dues night. The Queenpins dropped three games, and you could feel the devastation ripple through their ranks like a tragic Shakespearean monologue. “I threw two 200s and still only got one win? That’s just disrespectful to my greatness,” Dustin Schmeltz said, shaking his head. They remain in 4th place, but oh, the heartbreak of a crown slipping just slightly askew.

Meanwhile, across the lanes, Hot-n-Ready® came in sizzling like a fresh pizza and left with three wins and the series, still perched proudly in 1st place. Seth Gunderson—glasses gleaming, calf tattoos perfectly polished for maximum intimidation—absolutely torched the lanes with a 235 game, a staggering 55 pins over his average. That’s not bowling, that’s a fireworks display.

Nick Kinney added a spicy 223, while Ian Estey quietly, almost mysteriously, stacked a rock-solid 545 series and even crossed the 20,000 career pin milestone. I mean, who does that and stays humble? It’s suspiciously admirable. The team’s chemistry was smoother than melted cheese, and their excitement after taking three wins was palpable. “That 235? I felt it the second it left my hand—I knew those pins didn’t stand a chance,” Seth Gunderson said with a grin. Hot-n-Ready® isn’t just cooking—they’re serving a full-course domination.

Lanes 3 & 4: Thots & Spares vs. Walk Offs

Oh honey, Thots & Spares didn’t just win—they swept with the kind of confidence usually reserved for championship parades and people who parallel park on the first try. Scott Murdock led the charge with a luscious 520 series, including games of 187 and 183, proving that experience—and a solid brewery t-shirt collection—still reigns supreme.

Tim Deddens, tall and smiling like he knows something we don’t, stayed consistent, while AJ Hofmann delivered a crisp 182 to keep the momentum rolling. The vibes? Immaculate. The energy? Electric. The puns? Endless. They spared no mercy and struck down every challenge. “I told the guys if I kept it over 180 we’d sweep—and look how that turned out,” Scott Murdock said proudly. With all four points secured, they remain in 3rd place and looking downright dangerous.

Walk Offs
And then… oh dear… the Walk Offs. Swept. Completely. Utterly. Devastation. The kind that makes you question not just your form, but your life choices.

Kurt Fredrickson tried to hold the line with a 413 series, performing above average like a seasoned veteran refusing to go quietly. Chris Hagan flashed brilliance with a 158 game, but it wasn’t enough to stop the downward spiral. Brian Schaben and Mike Fitzgerald battled valiantly, but the scoreboard told a harsher story.

“I did my part—everybody else must’ve been aiming at the wrong pins,” Kurt Fredrickson said with a shrug. Losing all four points is a special kind of heartbreak—not cruel, just… profoundly humbling. They remain in 5th, searching for answers and perhaps a slightly friendlier set of pins next week.

Lanes 5 & 6: Squid Row vs. 3 Pins and a Gutter

Led by Dennis Walling—bald, goateed, and bowling like a man possessed—his 539 series and 201 game anchored a dominant performance. Matthew Taylor matched that 201, because apparently this team travels in synchronized excellence.

Chris Windham, towering and bearded like a maritime legend, had a quieter night but still contributed to the tidal wave of victory. The team’s excitement after sweeping all four points was undeniable—they were practically dancing between frames. “When I hit that 201, I knew we had them right where we wanted them,” Dennis Walling said confidently. Remaining in 2nd place, Squid Row is lurking just beneath the surface… and I, for one, am both impressed and mildly intimidated.

3 Pins and a Gutter
Oh, sweet Gutterly Pinned… swept away like a sandcastle at high tide. But let’s talk about heart, because this team has it in spades. Jeremy Varnell led with a 383 series and reached the monumental milestone of 100,000 career pins—now sitting at 100,158! That’s the kind of achievement that deserves fireworks, confetti, and possibly a documentary.

JoAnne Barber also hit 100,000 pins (100,231!) and claimed the women’s high series and game for the week. Iconic behavior. Legendary stuff. Despite the losses, there were sparks of brilliance everywhere.

“I hit 100,000 pins and we still got swept—someone explain that math to me,” Jeremy Varnell said, clearly baffled. Still, losing all four points stings. Deeply. Profoundly. Like stepping on a Lego made of disappointment. They remain in 6th, but with milestones like these, their story is far from gutter-bound.

Week 11 may not have shaken the standings, but it delivered drama, milestones, and enough highlight moments to fill a highlight reel narrated by yours truly. From Seth Gunderson’s explosive 235 to JoAnne Barber and Jeremy Varnell joining the 100,000-pin club, this league continues to prove that greatness can strike at any moment.

In terms of overall points within each division after this Interdivisional round : Ian Estey leads Division 1; Scott Murdock dominates Division 2; Tim Deddens calls the shots for Division 3; and Jeremy Varnell and Brian Schaben govern Division 4 in a tie.

• First, on lanes 1&2, 3rd-place Thots & Spares will battle 6th-place 3 Pins and a Gutter (hcp 84). Thots are expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Gutterly Pinned is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
