Week 12 RoboRecap

Posted by BowlingBot November 8, 2022 Fall 2022, Week 12 View Score Sheets

Week 12 RoboHeaderThe twelfth week of Fall 2022 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (141) and series (393) for the women. As for the men, Nick Kinney snagged this week's high game with a 258, and high series was earned by Dennis Walling with a 631. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: Glory Bowl found their destiny gripped in the icy hands of Baby Beardo. Blessed by Nicholas Knight with his above-average 460 series, the Glorious split the series with the Beardettes. On the flipside, Nick Kinney with his better-than-normal 580 series propped up the Beardettes as they matched their opponent in wins. Glory Bowl climbs 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while the Beardettes remain in 1st.

week12On lanes 3 & 4: With the scales heavily tipped in one team's favor from the outset, the lovable Sun Dolphins took turns kicking the ball return with the wicked Balderdash. Though somewhat emboldened by Ryan Sisco with his 461 series, the dolphins accomplished only 1 win against the balder dashers. Moving on to the challengers, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Dennis Walling and his better-than-normal 631 series took charge of the balder dashers as his team took the match with 3 wins. Sun Dolphins drop 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while the balder dashers remain in 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 5 & 6: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of AJ's Minions. Despite the strength of Jeremy Varnell with his 415 series, the nonbelievers got swept by the minions. On the adjacent lane, Jeromy Harris with his better-than-normal 519 series mastered the minions (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Jim Koger) as they swept the competition. I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter drops 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while the minions move up 1 spot to 3rd.

Bowlers who crashed the party at The 200 Club include: Ben Spencer (223), Carl Goetz (204), Dennis Walling (212,222), Jeromy Harris (211), Matthew Taylor (205), and Nick Kinney (258)

The 258 rolled by Nick Kinney is this season's new high game for men.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Matthew Taylor triumphed over his enemies in Division 1, while Scott Murdock topped Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about Division 3 as it was a complete embarassment, and Scott Thompson ruled Division 4. In terms of overall points: Dennis Walling tops Division 1; Scott Murdock runs the show in Division 2; Aaron Barber governs Division 3; and Scott Thompson leads Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 1&2, 3rd-place AJ's Minions (hcp 87) will challenge 2nd-place Balderdash. The minions are expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while the balder dashers are forecast to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 3&4, 4th-place I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter (hcp 37) will match wits with 5th-place Glory Bowl. The nonbelievers might have the bottom drop out of their averages as they get swept; while the Glorious ought to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 5&6, 1st-place Baby Beardo will chuck some balls with 6th-place Sun Dolphins (hcp 162). The Beardettes are predicted to have a bit of an off night, yet still manage to win the series; while the dolphins are anticipated to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.

*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)

"May I have your attention. I am going to step away from the bar for 30 seconds to use the restroom. If you can't go 30 seconds without needing another beer, you need to re-evaluate your life."
