Now that we're more than half way done with the Fall 2013 season, the curse that seemed to be keeping the league from rolling high scores seems to have been lifted. Couple that with a team well on their way to running away with the title way before the Finals and we may be watching a battle for second place in this second half. Bewbie Dance, led by Carl Goetz's 545 series, took their matchup against Even Brunker Than Defore 3-1 and advanced up to 2nd place. Eric Lynch threw the highest series for Defore – a 431 – but remain in 8th place.Bowltron continues to dominate the league with a 4-0 beatdown of opponents Will Strike if Provoked. Led by Ryan Doll's 697 series, Bowltron now sits a full 8 games ahead of the rest of the league. Doll was also this week's #1 Power Ranked bowler. Will Strike, led by Aubrey Moren's 527 series, slip two spots down into 4th place.Splitting their matchup at 2-2, Ballz Out and Breaking Bad battled one another to a stand still. Ballz Out was led by Cliff Barendsen's 483 series while Ken M. Wilson hoisted a 646 series for Breaking Bad. Ballz Out remains in 7th place while Breaking Bad climbs one spot to 3rd place.Dennis Blake's 598 series and sub Todd Way's Most Valuable Bowler performance powered Split It and Hit It to a 3-1 win over Gutterfingers, led by Anita Osthoff's 520 series. Split It moves up one spot to 5th while Gutterfingers falls down into 6th place. The Tournament of Champions results: Division 1 = Ryan Doll (16), Ken M. Kicking off in the Spring 2011 season, our bowling community collectively cast its votes for the inaugural class of enshrinees to the GutterAlley Hall of Fame. These initial four bowlers were tasked with carrying on the Hall's enshrinement duties, promising that one new bowler would make his or her way to join them at the end of every season going forward. We are happy to say that the tradition is about to continue for a sixth time to welcome in the ninth inductee. The GutterAlley Hall of Fame Screening Committee is proud to announce the names of the six candidates up for enshrinement this season – Bill Krejci, Cory Chorpenning, Demond Robinson, Jason Carpio, Pat Searcy, and Ryan Doll. Each of these six bowlers, in his own way, has made an impact on the league over the years. It will now be up to you to cast your votes to send one person to join AB, Scoot, Freda, Ken, Carl, Bob, Codding, and – most recently – Seth in the Hall.Every member of the bowling community that has an active account on GutterAlley.com will be assessed a number of votes based upon his or her tenure within the league. Bowlers who have not yet completed a full season are ineligible to vote for the Hall of Fame candidates. Bowlers who have completed 1-2 full seasons are allowed one vote. Bowlers who have completed 3-4 season are allowed two votes. Bowlers who have completed 5+ seasons are allowed three votes. Hall of Famers are allowed four. Voters are not required to cast all of their available votes.Voting starts today and shall remain open until the week before the Finals (Week 15 - November 26th, 2013).For your convenience, we have prepared a page about each nominee so that you can get to know them better and see their influence on our league both on and off the lanes:
The position round officially marks the halfway mark of the league and with it came very little change, with only two teams managing to switch places in the league standings. The current leaders have moved way out ahead of the rest of the pack begging the question – can anyone stop them? We have two more months to find out.In the battle for first place, anchorless

Week #7 is the round each season in which every team has done battle against one another. This time around, the underdogs seemed to land some pretty solid punches against their opponents although not a single team moved at all in the league standings. Check it out...After taking the first two games behind anchor

Week #6 is now in the history books and with it came very little in the realm of teams moving around in the league standings. While the league's overall average was better than we've seen lately, not much noise has been made at all on the lanes this season. Averages continue to be down, we're only seeing a fraction of the number of 200+ games typically rolled, and teams continue to underperform and yet come away with victories. All in all, this has been an odd season so far as we close in on the midway point. And now, quick recaps:The battle between

Because "Grand Theft Auto 5" came out and this sum bitch is dying to play it, this recap will be short and sweet.

Getting half the league to swap places in the league standings every Tuesday night seems to quickly be on its way to becoming the norm. Week #4 brought a group of familiar faces back atop the league after a powerful performance from a man figuring out a new ball. While the overall league average is off this season (we're willing to blame it on the lack of beer being consumed due to cost increase – although sources inform us that the prices will be coming down next week across the board!), people continue to put up games well over their averages on their drive to add more notches in the win column. Here's how the matchups across the league went down...In the first matchup of the night,
Week #3 is now in the history books and with it came some huge output across the lanes. With the post-bowling scores now in, the full recap of what went down across all four matchups can now be reported. In the first matchup of the night, both
Historically, Week #2 provides the wildest results as averages from the initial week are put to the test and those that did really well are battling themselves as well as their competitors. Those who didn't perform up to potential in their initial outing end up being the most dangerous to their opponents – which was the case this week for sure. To top off the most volatile week of the season, every single team shifted places in the league standings. Yes, you read that correctly – everyone moved. To start the evening off,
The Fall 2013 season kicked off Tuesday night, marking the 28th season of GutterAlley action. Thirty-two bowlers make up eight teams in this session and it's looking like it's going to be a battle every week. Despite the summer hiatus, many bowlers from last season picked right back up where they left off and carried on with their big scores. Buckle up, gang. This is going to be a fun season. In the first matchup of the night, last season's runner-up for the
With the summer drawing to a close it's time to make Tuesday nights fun again as the Fall 2013 season of GutterAlley action gets underway on Tuesday. This season will feature four new recruits making their debut this season! A special welcome to rookies

The Spring 2013 season came to an official conclusion on Tuesday night, complete with prize disbursement and the announcement of the various season-ending awards.Proving that you can teach an old dog new tricks, this season – packed with a LOT of returning veterans – ended up being the
The Spring 2013 season came to a conclusion Tuesday night with league champions Will Strike if Provoked staving off a surging Dragons Balls in a Finals showdown. Congratulations to

With the closing of the Spring 2013 season, we've decided to expand the offering of our end of the league
While two teams opted to post bowl (leaving one bowler on each of team stranded to roll and give out air high fives after striking or sparing), the main matchup of the evening ended in what can officially be called a cliff hanger. On a night in which the championship could have been wrapped up, the race to the finish will truly take place next week in the Finals. We start off on lanes 41 & 42 where the two last place teams battled for... well... something. With the fashionably late

The full results from Week #14 are now in and, mathematically, only two teams can come away as the Spring 2013 champions...and, more than likely, will face one another the last two weeks of the season. Tuesday night will also be remembered as the week with stifling dry heat, no air conditioning, and no tap beer whatsoever. It was also the lowest scoring week of the entire season. Coincidence? We think not. Let's get into the gritty details...On the first pair of lanes, long time rivals – and current league leaders –
Week #13 is now in the history books and with it came a massive shuffling of the league standings. With the exception of the teams at the very top and the very bottom, all six teams from 2nd through 7th place swapped places with one another during the week that saw our league break
With only one month left in the league, it's really becoming do or die time. Week #12 was witness to some pretty stellar performances from unlikely sources, leading to five of the eight teams shifting positions within the league standings – three teams ascending with two descending. The Finals are quickly approaching and it's still almost anyone's to win. When

Now we've seen some tight seasons before in the past...and the 27th season of GutterAlley is definitely being added to that list. So far this season, four of the eight teams have held the 1st place position. Currently? Three teams now have a record of 27-17 and are all knotted up at the top of the league standings. This season, easily the highest rolling in league history, continues to break records on a number of fronts. With only five weeks until the Finals, we could be in for quite a finish. For the first time in quite a while, no one qualified as the
