Huge Bewbies

Posted by Ken September 4, 2013 Fall 2013, Week 3 View Score Sheets

Week #3 is now in the history books and with it came some huge output across the lanes. With the post-bowling scores now in, the full recap of what went down across all four matchups can now be reported. In the first matchup of the night, both Bewbie Dance and Breaking Bad looked to rebound after having suffering beat downs in Week #2. While Kody Karnes put up a league leading 663 series for Breaking Bad, it did not matter one bit as the Bewbies were firing on all cylinders. With anchor Carl Goetz leading the way with his 599 series and a Most Valuable Bowler performance from Jonathan Vigliaturo, the Bewbies put on a clinic in a 4-0 trouncing of Breaking Bad. To put this into perspective, they threw the 15th highest 4-person team game in league history to win Game #2 by 130 pins despite opponents Kody and Ken both shooting 223 that game. The victories uplift Bewbie Dance into 3rd place with their 8-4 record while Breaking Bad continues to plummet, landing in 5th place with a record of 5-7.Down a pair of lanes on 43 and 44, reigning champs Will Strike if Provoked took aim at opponents Gutterfingers. After battling one another to a perfect tie in Game #1, it was all Will Strike from that point onward as the gang easily rolled their way to victories in Games #2 and #3. Will Strike's Aubrey Moren led the charge with his 575 series to improve his team's record to 9.5-2.5 to take over 1st place. Gutterfingers, led this week by anchor Anita Osthoff and her 481 series, take their half win and now sit in 7th place with their 3.5-8.5 record.Quickly post-bowling on Wednesday night, the outcome of the matchup between Bowltron and Ballz Out came to light. Despite a Game #1 loss to the Ballz – who were led by anchor Cliff Barendsen's 490 series – Bowltron came back with a vengeance to takes Games #2, #3, as well as total pins to win the battle 3-1. Led by John Boren and his 596 series and aided by this week's #1 Power Ranked bowler performance from Bryan Mohr, Bowltron takes their three wins into 2nd place at 9-3. Ballz Out, with their 4-8 record, remain in 6th place. The final matchup of the evening took place with Split It and Hit It taking on Even Brunker Than Defore down up against the wall. With a 10th frame victory in Game #1 compliments of Split It's anchor Dennis Blake and his team-leading 547 series, the guys continued to increase the notches in their win column by taking Game #2 as well. Even Brunker's Eric Lynch, however, had grown tired of his team not having a win yet this season and put up a 506 series to eek out a four pin victory in Game #3. Split It improves their win record to 8-4 and remains in 4th place. Even Brunker Than Defore, with their 1-11 record, remain in 8th place. With the completion of the third week of bowling, the four divisions within the Tournament of Champions are now officially set. Be sure to check to see which division you've landed. Good luck to everyone as the Tournament gets underway with the scores from Week #4. As usual, we'll have sheets down on each lane to allow you to track your progress.Bowlers toasting September in The 200 Club this week include: Angela Bradford (209), Aubrey Moren (223), Carl Goetz (237), Dennis Blake (210), Dennis "Pops" Laube (200), John Boren (234), Jonathan Vigliaturo (202), Ken M.
