A listing (from most current to furthest back) of any write-up posts in which Cat has been mentioned:
- TheOHHHHHHH!!!!! (Oct 7th, 2025) - We are now halfway through the Fall 2025 season, and the tension is thick enough to slice with a bowling pin. Every frame counts now for those hungry for the championship. Unlike recent seasons, First Place has become a hot potato no one can seem to hold — this week brought our fifth leader change so far, and FanDuel can barely keep can barely keep up with the ever-changing stats. Week eight saw two teams claw their way upward in the standings while two others took a tumble into despair. One bowler rolled a personal best that left jaws on the floor. JoAnne Barber picked up this week’s high game (156) and series (401) for the women, while Nick Kinney dominated with this week’s high game (275) and series (626) for the men. Hold onto your shoes and read on — this league night had drama, heartbreak, and triumph in equal measure!
- SWEEPing Generalibations (Sep 30th, 2025) - Greetings, Bowling Generals, it is I, Pete Hegseth, your Secretary of WAR. Lean in, because Week Seven of Fall 2025… oh man, it was something else. Two teams climbing, two slipping — like strong men scaling mountains of bourbon bottles while others lose their grip and tumble. You could feel it in the air, heavy, like after a long patrol. JoAnne Barber — tough, resilient — fired off a 143 high game and a 393 series for the women. Big respect. But still, a woman. The real proving ground, it’s the men. Nick Kinney — dropped a 226, like a howitzer firing in rhythm. And Matthew Taylor — 605 series. Six-oh-five, gentlemen. That’s not bowling, that’s endurance, sinew, veins pumping, the essence of peak male performance. You gotta read this whole thing, because from here out, we’re not playing by the old rules. The league — this league — it’s war now. And yes, we’ll be making war on our own teams to train, to harden, to forge iron from iron.
- No! Not No! Not Theo! In First! (Sep 9th, 2025) - The fourth week of Fall 2025 struck like lightning across the alleys, reshaping the destiny of the standings in one fell swoop. One team clawed their way up the ladder, another slipped into despair, and one bowler etched their personal best into league lore. Sparks flew when Cat Atwood unleashed a blistering 153 to seize the women’s high game, while JoAnne Barber coolly stacked a 365 to claim women’s high series. On the men’s side, Nick Kinney erupted with a thunderous 246 high game, but the night belonged to Matthew Taylor, whose unstoppable 625 secured the men’s high series. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions roared to life, the beginning of 13 weeks of head-to-head battles where heroes will be made and pretenders unmasked. The pins never knew what hit them — and this is only the beginning.
- Team 2 Is Great Again! (Sep 2nd, 2025) - Because the team named for my beautiful TARIFFS has jumped into first place -- the highest place, a level never before seen, I, your Favorite President Donald J. Trump, am writing this week's recap. The third week of Fall 2025 was absolutely tremendous, folks — really historic. We saw winners rise, losers tumble, and believe me, everybody was talking about it. Two teams climbed the standings — beautiful climbing, the best kind — while two very sad, very weak teams slipped down. Cat Atwood, who is just terrific, totally dominated with this week’s high game (150) and series (391) for the women, while Aaron Barber — a tremendous bowler, by the way — delivered the men’s high game (211) and series (615). And now the Tournament of Champions divisions are set, ready for some incredible, one-on-one action beginning next week. People are calling it the best lineup in history. Read on — it only gets better!
- Squids' Games (Aug 26th, 2025) - The second week of Fall 2025 didn’t just shuffle the standings—it sent shockwaves through the league. Three hungry contenders clawed their way up, while three stumbled into the shadows. Amid the clatter of pins and the roar of the crowd, one bowler etched a new personal best into history. JoAnne Barber seized the women’s spotlight with a blazing high game of 133 and a commanding series of 388, while Ben Spencer thundered to the top among the men with a ferocious 231 high game and a mighty 568 series. The drama only escalates from here—read on for the full saga!

- Spring 2025 Recap (Jun 6th, 2025) - Here is your Spring 2025 Recap, where you can find out who won all the individual awards plus lots more! Our next season will (likely) begin on August 19, 2025!
- Cat Scratch Fever (May 6th, 2025) - The fourteenth week of Spring 2025 brought drama, surprises, and heartbreak to the lanes. For some, one of the surprises is that -- despite more than one person stating to the contrary -- the Championship was not clinched last night and while it remains unlikely (in one case very unlikely), two teams are still mathematically capable of overtaking FILPB before the season ends.
One team clawed its way up the leaderboard, while another tumbled down a notch. On the individual front, Cat Atwood scorched the lanes with this week's high game (165) and series (366) for the women. Among the men, Nathan Burrows stormed in with a 223 high game, while Aaron Barber dominated the series leaderboard with a 594. But that’s only the beginning — the lanes had stories to tell.
- FILPB Reaps, Kittens Weep and Squids Rise from the Deeeeep (Apr 29th, 2025) - The thirteenth week of Spring 2025 proved unlucky for two teams, while two others escaped the curse and clawed their way up the standings. One bowler soared to new heights with a personal best, and Cat Atwood scratched out this week’s high game (124) and series (331) for the women. Matthew Taylor threw fireballs down the lane to capture the men’s high game (257) and series (580). But that’s just the beginning—keep reading for the thrilling details!
- Cat-astrophic Kittens (Mar 25th, 2025) - We have clawed our way to the halfway mark of the Spring 2025 season, meaning the time to pounce on a championship opportunity is dwindling fast. Week eight saw some teams stretch their paws toward victory, while others took a tumble down the standings. JoAnne Barber scratched out the high game for the women with a 139, while Cat Atwood nimbly leaped to the top with a 391 series. On the men’s side, Seth Gunderson unleashed a ferocious 233 for the high game, and AJ Hofmann roared to high series with a 582. But that’s just the tip of the scratching post—read on for the full rundown!
- Spencer's Gifts (Mar 18th, 2025) - A nail-biting seventh week of Spring 2025 saw the standings frozen in place, but that didn’t mean the competition was anything less than electrifying. One bowler shattered their personal best, while others clawed for every pin in a battle of grit and determination. JoAnne Barber dominated the women’s lanes with a 132 high game and a 379 series, while Ben Spencer reigned supreme among the men with a jaw-dropping 266 high game and a 645 series.
- A Weird, Tie-Infused Night (Feb 25th, 2025) - The fourth week of Spring 2025 rolled in under a waning crescent moon, bringing with it an eerie energy that no one could quite shake. Maybe it was the fact that Alex, rather than Kenny, was manning the grill, or the lingering rust from a missed week. Or perhaps it was the bizarre 70-degree temperature swing that had bowlers questioning reality. People who whould have bowled well didn't, others bowled better than expected, and four of the six teams experienced ties. And by the time it was all over, each of the bottom two teams in the standings saw a member of their team leapfrog up the averages to become the top top players in the league. Whatever the cause, the lanes were filled with strange twists of fate—some teams soared, others stumbled, and one bowler etched their name into personal history.
