  • Snow Ballz (Feb 1st, 2022) - Much like the many many inches of snow we were promised, quite a few people were not seen this week. Nonetheless, each team had representation (barely in one instance) so rolling proceeded as planned. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (146) and series (406) for the women. Such as (in no particular order): League legend Pat Searcy passed after a 2-year battle with cancer. Donald Trump's impeachment trial. Wildfires in Australian. Mass anti-US protests in Iraq. Kobe Bryant died. Brexit. The brink of war with Iran. The Chiefs won the Superbowl. We had a parade.

  • Fall 2019 Recap (Jan 4th, 2020) -

  • The End of an Era (Dec 4th, 2019) - As our 20th year of bowling came to a close and we prepare to embark on our next 20 years, the bowling alley echoed the moment by ripping out the ball returns and scoring consoles we've been kicking/using since our formation and replaced them with spiffy new ones have no idea the abuse they will soon endure. Despite the myriad of exceptions they annoying quizzed Scoot on last night, See you next Tuesday! remains the championship team so now gets to perform next week's awards presentation, which according to league rules must be done in the form of a musical every 40th season. Next week we meet at our usual time to name all the award winners and hand out prize money (in the meeting room on the Finnegan's side, through the back of the snack bar), followed by 9-pin-tap fun night. The final week saw not even one full-time VML bowler show up to bowl, and only one team move up in the standings. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (168) and series (445) for the women. As for the men, Dennis Walling snagged this week's high game with a 236, and high series was earned by Ian Goetz with a 624. Read on for all the rest of the details!

  • Keeping It Brief (Nov 6th, 2019) - (Scoot here... I'm taking care of a dog that just came home from surgery while also trying to get some yard work done during this window of good weather, so I'm keeping this writeup short by mostly leaving it as what the bot generated.)
The twelfth week of Fall 2019 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Alison Radke picked up this week's high game (167) and series (424) for the women, while Michael Gordon earned this week's high game (242) and series (674) for the men. It also saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (186) and series (470) for the women. • Bowling Is Dumb: A Memoir by AJ (Sep 3rd, 2019) - Intro: Normally, when Scott Murdock isn't sick and decides to use company time to do the write up, you'd get this on Wednesday. But since half the matchups are pending post-bowling scores and all awards are tentative, I (AJ), wanted to give you an early summary. I'd suggest you just ignore this post.

  • Week 2 RoboRecap (Aug 27th, 2019) - The second week of Fall 2019 saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (168) and series (445) for the women. • Time To Roll! (Aug 14th, 2019) - Welcome to the Fall 2019 bowling season, our 40th season, in which we celebrate 20 years as a league!

  • Spring 2019 Recap (May 15th, 2019) -

  • Clinched! (Apr 23rd, 2019) - Originally I was going to leave this week's as a robo-writeup due to me having another busy week, but then CICK Ass screwed that up for me by accomplishing something I had failed to notice they could do this week: they clinched the championship two weeks early! This makes the first championship for Chantal Jacot, 6 for Ian Goetz, a staggering 13 for Carl "Tits" Goetz, and an even more staggering 14 for Ken M. Wilson (sheesh!). Congratulations to all four of you!

  • It was the best of frames, it was the worst of frames... (Apr 9th, 2019) - When we have 8 teams the Position Round slices our season cleanly in half. But when we have 12 teams the Position Round is more like the mighty guillotine, slicing off just the end while the main body remains on the slab of history. Three normal-ish weeks remain before the Championship round, but even lest time that that remains for anyone to act before the current #1 team clinches the championship outright.

  • Speedy Recap (Mar 26th, 2019) - With about a quarter of the league at the Weezers/Pixies concert (admit it, Phil & Freda, we all know you were there too), the rest of us got to enjoy a speedy evening that finished relatively early. Unfortunately that didn't translate into extra write-up time for Scoot, and since he's very busy today we are going to leave about 90% of this as the computer-generated writeup. The tenth week of Spring 2019 saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Monica Hufford picked up this week's high game (176) and series (491) for the women. As for the men, Aaron Barber snagged this week's high game with a 234, and high series was earned by Ian Goetz with a 643. Read on for all the rest of the details!

  • Screwball Season Getting Screwier (Mar 19th, 2019) - This season has seen its share of weirdness -- due both to the number of teams and two both really high and really low games coming from unexpected places. This week was no exception. But next week it will get even weirder.

  • The Lava Lamp (Mar 5th, 2019) - Like the globs in a lava lamp, teams have been taking turns rising to the top only to then quickly sink back down. This week was no exception, as CICK Ass returned to the top with We Don't Give a Split bubbling up just behind, while Pin Is King and #MGAGA have cooled and sunk, perhaps to be heated back up again.

  • Better Late Than Never! (Feb 19th, 2019) - This week a record three teams post-bowled due to illness and weather. But not, finally, all the scores are in. The fifth week of Spring 2019 saw four teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Monica Hufford picked up this week's high game (188) and series (523) for the women, while Ian Goetz earned this week's high game (243) and series (593) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

  • Teetering on the Brink of a 1st Place Swap (Feb 12th, 2019) - The fourth week of Spring 2019 saw four teams climb in the standings, while five teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and three rolled new personal high games. Freda Schroeder landed this week's high game for the women with a 151, and women's high series was bagged by Monica Hufford with a 404. As for the men, Nick Kinney snagged this week's high game with a 234, and high series was earned by Ian Goetz with a 615. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions also kicked off tonight, beginning of 13 weeks of one-on-one bowling excitement! Read on for all the rest of the details!

  • Our [Still] Biggest Season Ever Starts January 22 (Jan 9th, 2019) -

  • Fall 2017 Recap (Dec 13th, 2017) - 36 seasons of bowling are now behind us, and while we didn't set much in the way of records, having 10 teams brought us some new twists and turns and the largest pool of prize money (just shy of $2200) we have seen in quite some time!

  • Holy NotContra, Batman! (Nov 28th, 2017) - With the last regular night of bowling in the history books, the remote possibility of the season ending in a three-way tie has faded away. Instead, next week Holy Sandbaggers, Batman! will attempt to protect their cherished first-place position from their only remaining challenger: NotContra.

  • Finally, A Leader Emerges (Oct 24th, 2017) - Our position round has brought us a first in the Fall 2017 Seasoon. For the first time this season, a team has moved into first place that has more than just a 1-game lead!

  • Post Bowl Time (Oct 3rd, 2017) - Post-bowling scores are in, let's see how everything turned out!

  • Who's On First? (Sep 27th, 2017) - While Mustache Cash Stash technically remains in first place by total pins, there are three teams tied for first place and a total of 5 teams that are within a game of first place. To have so many teams so close together at the top of the standings by week 6 is absolutely unprecedented in the history of our league. No, that's not hyperbole, I went through the week 6 standings of every past season and there has never been such a massive tie before by this point in the season.

  • The Left Rises (For Real This Time) (Sep 12th, 2017) - The Alt-Left can now finally celebrate a legitimate claim to first place, while last week's 1st place team plummets all the way to 5th. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions also started up with its new 40-bowler format. Read on to see how it all shook out!

  • Led By The Lefties (Sep 5th, 2017) - The two teams that feature right-handed bowlers who are bowling left-handed this season are leaving the rest of us in the dust. Have they uncovered a shocking new bowling secret???

  • Off And Rolling (Jan 26th, 2016) - The first week of our 33rd season began with lots of laughter and reunions, progressed through lots of beer, and ended with four teams rubbing their sore butts.

  • Fall 2015 is in The Books! (Dec 15th, 2015) - With 32 seasons of bowling now behind us, the Fall 2015 season ended tonight as the 4th best season in league history. Both in terms of combined league average and in terms of the number (206) of 200+ games rolled. Congratulations, everyone, on a great season!

  • Falling Apart at the Seams (Dec 8th, 2015) - For reasons unknown, that definitely had nothing to do with the first place team getting swept, the lanes started falling apart tonight! As did any chance of seeing any of 2nd thru 6th place get locked up early.

  • Taffy Sticks It! (Dec 1st, 2015) - Salt Water Taffy earned a rare Week 14 championship clinching! Congratulations to Jonathan, Ian, Seth, and Carl on their victory this season!

  • Full of Turkey, No One Wants to Move (Nov 24th, 2015) - Turkey week saw lots of turkeys but no movement in the standings, likely due to everyone being overloaded on tryptophan.

  • A Bunch Of Crap (Nov 17th, 2015) - Because the results of the bowling matchups this week were so expected, and therefore so boring, Scoot has absolutely no inspiration for what to write about this week. Due to this, just so Scoot would stay awake writing this, much of the following is a load of crap.

  • Someone is Cornholing the League (Nov 10th, 2015) - Holy Sandbaggers, Batman, has swept 3 weeks in a row and faces the blind team next week. Could a new threat to the Taffy domination be emerging?

  • Taffy Pulls Further Ahead (Oct 20th, 2015) - Phil and Ian both set new personal bests tonight, and 4 teams moved into a tie for second place.

  • Trap No Longer Trapped (Sep 29th, 2015) - A new last place team is crowned, another team loses a game to no one, Dennis Blake continues to run away with the Tournament of Champions lead, and we do not bowl next week.

  • Salt Water Daffy (Sep 15th, 2015) - Apparently the secret to sweeping this season (apart from bowling the blind team) is to pre-bowl, based upon a precedent set by Salt Water Taffy. Read on to find out how much they bribed the AMF staff to set them up with Fisher-Price bowling pins...

  • Fall 2015 Preview: Milestones to Watch For (Aug 25th, 2015) -

  • 7-10! (Apr 28th, 2015) - Champs crowned, splits splatted, pins righted, what DIDN'T happen this week?

  • The League is Stuck! (Apr 21st, 2015) - Two weeks in a row have produced stagnant standings, but a record was shattered anyway!

  • Some Taxing Matchups (Apr 14th, 2015) - Bowlers getting tax refunds bowled well, bowlers who owe bowled terribly, and bowlers who haven't started their taxes at all yet were no-shows. Who fell into what category? Read on to find out.

  • Balls of Amazingness (Feb 25th, 2015) - Another odd week of bowling shakes up the top of the standings, but little else!

  • The Cream Rises (Feb 3rd, 2015) - The same teams that sat atop the league standings last season are back at it after the results of Week #3. Big scores and even bigger series continue to be put up by the league as a whole as the 32-person roster currently sits at the 2nd best season of all time mark. Not a bad start, gang. Not a bad start at all.See how it all played out...

  • Battle Tested, Brunker Approved (Jan 27th, 2015) - With two weeks of the Spring 2015 season in the books, six – count 'em, SIX! – bowlers are currently carrying averages above the 200 mark. The number six also made its mark in the league standings this week as that number of teams swapped places. Did we also mention that Carl Goetz shot a 666 series? Spooky.Ready to get all the details? You know what to do...

  • Wasting No Time (Jan 20th, 2015) - The Spring 2015 session kicked off Tuesday night and Kody Karnes wasted absolutely no time at serving notice that his team looks to repeat as champions. Setting a 237 average, Karnes quickly re-established his team at the top of the heap. Can they keep it until the Finals in May? Only time will tell...

  • A New King is Crowned (Dec 10th, 2014) - Sixteen weeks ago 32-bowlers on 8 different teams started out all with the same record of zero wins and zero losses, scheduled to do battle with one another at least twice. Tuesday night saw the end results of those slugfests with the men of the brashly named 921+ walking away as the champions of the Fall 2014 season of GutterAlley action.Find out how the Finals went...

  • For Whom the Bell Tolls (Dec 2nd, 2014) - The Finals lineup is now set for the Fall 2014 season of GutterAlley, our 30th Finals since we started this crazy league back in late 1999. Look how far we have come: in the very first season, it was a rare occurrence if anyone shot a 200 game. Now, we have people that average that on a weekly basis. This season has also seen more 200+ games than ever before, a testament as to how much we've improved over the past decade and a half.

  • Turkeys Galore (Nov 25th, 2014) - Turkeys, turkeys, turkeys...damn, there were a LOT of turkeys thrown during GutterAlley action in Week #14. Currently on pace to see more 200+ games than any other season in league history, twenty-two games of 200+ were thrown by more than a third of the roster this week alone. The top two teams in the league remained tied atop of the heap with The Finals just a hop, skip, and a jump away. Let's do this...

  • Eye on the Prize (Nov 18th, 2014) - GutterAlley action in Week #13 ended with the only two teams that have occupied first place in a tie at 34 wins apiece, potentially setting the stage for a winner-takes-all showdown in the Finals three weeks away. Two other teams, however, remain in striking distance as the Fall 2014 season marches on.

  • Vets Battle on Veteran's Day (Nov 11th, 2014) - As the nation paid its respects to those who served our country in the armed forces, the bowlers in GutterAlley showed little to no respect to those with any affiliation as they jockeyed for wins before the Finals arrive next month. While only two teams switched spots in the league standings, gaps are starting to form in-between the various teams throughout setting up what is sure to be an interesting finish to the season.

  • He's Baaaaaaack (Nov 4th, 2014) - With baseball season finally over, perfect attendance was *almost* achieved as 31 of the league's 32 bowlers showed up to do battle Tuesday night. Net result? Six teams swapped places while several bowlers make their own personal history with their highest games and series to date.Needless to say it was quite a night in GutterAlley action...

  • 9...3...4 (Oct 28th, 2014) - For more than six years, the men of Ain't No Sh!T enjoyed sitting atop one of the most impressive league records of all-time – their 921 single game team output. Tuesday night, however, saw that score moved to 2nd place as four new guys moved to the top of that mountain after some stellar output...and climbing to within two games of the current league leaders. Can they catch them before the Finals? Only time will tell.

  • The Midway Point (Oct 14th, 2014) - The position round took place Tuesday night and, with it, six of the team eight teams in the league swapped places. My Three Sons continues to hold tightly onto 1st place with their 5-game league. Can they maintain that throughout the second half? Only time will tell..as other teams are creeping up on them. A mere four games separate 2nd through 6th place. This will be an interesting second half of the Fall 2014 season for sure.

  • Sprinting into the Position Round (Oct 7th, 2014) - With the position round coming next week, teams put up their last ditch efforts in an attempt to better their spot within next week's matchup. Some big games and series were rolled as five teams switched spots in the league standings.

  • The Crickets Have Stopped (Sep 30th, 2014) - Better late than never, right? The results from Week #6 are now in and they include quite a few surprises...check 'em out.

  • Number One Sons (Sep 23rd, 2014) - My Three Sons continue to dominate the league with a clean sweep of the team with the most output in league history, led by Ian Goetz's very first 700+ series. Rob Kaszuba put up his first MVB of the season to bring Dixie Stampede out of the gutter. All in all, Week #4 action saw some big action.

  • Holding onto the Reigns (Sep 9th, 2014) - Despite a league record being shattered by the team right on their tail, My Three Sons – last season's reigning champs – refuse to relinquish control of 1st place for a second week in a row. Tentatively, five teams took over a new spot in the standings while we all wait for Split It & Hit It to complete their post-bowling.

  • The Second Week Shuffle (Sep 2nd, 2014) - Week #2 watched as nearly every team moved into a new spot in the league standings. Many averages rose while just as many fell from their initial week debuts but none moved as much as Matt Bunyard's this week...wow.Want the details? You know what to do.

  • Pinterest Pins the Championship (May 13th, 2014) - The Spring 2014 season came to a close with the Finals a mere formality as Pinterest had already wrapped up the championship last week. Congratulations to title winners Jonathan Vigliaturo, Andy McLeod, Ian Goetz, and Seth Gunderson on their impressive run, ending with the 6th best win record in league history. The full recap can be found inside...

  • Best. Series. Ever. (May 6th, 2014) - While the big story of the night should be that Pinterest wrapped up the Spring 2014 championship, their feat was overshadowed by the incredible output from Kody Karnes and his 773 series – the highest output by a bowler over the course of our 29 seasons. The previous record of Don Glasscock's 770 series has stood since the Spring 2008 season. Congratulations to Jonathan Vigliaturo, Andy McLeod, Ian Goetz, and Seth Gunderson on their title but also to Kody Karnes for rolling one HELL of a series.

  • Cannon Fodder (Apr 29th, 2014) - And boom goes the dynamite as Week #14 action sees the league leaders increasing their margin over the rest of the league back up to 3.5 games heading into the final week of the regular season. The Finals are just around the corner on May 13th.Check out how the rest of the league stacks up...

  • Zeroing in on the Target (Apr 22nd, 2014) - With their grasp on the Spring '14 title becoming looser and looser, Pinterest suffered yet another set back in Week #13 action as their lead over the rest of the league – once +8 – has been reduced to only a game and a half with two weeks left in the regular season. The Finals may end up being a winner takes all affair if things continue on their current trajectory. Step inside and read how it all happened in this week's recap...

  • The Home Stretch (Apr 15th, 2014) - Just a few short weeks back, it looked like Pinterest's crowning as the champions of the Spring 2014 season was just a matter of time due to their huge lead over the rest of the league. Now with less than a month until the Finals we're quickly learning that a couple of other teams are not quite ready to give up the fight. As the march until the final showdown on May 13th continues, the lead has evaporated to merely 3.5 games proving that it's not over quite yet...especially considering that the three teams still in it face one another over the next three weeks.

  • Tronned! (Apr 8th, 2014) - Pinterest had five weeks left to wrap up the championship crown but the rest of the league refuses to make it easy on them. Around the rest of the league, some big scores – and one REALLY big series – showed up as the Spring 2014 continues on.Check out how your favorite team did in this week's update...

  • April Fool's Gold! (Apr 1st, 2014) - Week #10 happened to fall on April Fool's Day this year but the biggest jokesters in the league weren't laughing as much as they suffered their biggest matchup defeat of the season. Granted, it wasn't huge but it was a surprise as to who dished it out.Around the league, some big scores came out of unexpected places as the season continues onward...

  • Goetz It Done (Mar 25th, 2014) - Pinterest continues to extend their lead in the league standings as they now sit a full eight games out from second place. It's going to take some serious competition to derail the most energetic team this season from their steam rolling to the championship crown. Ian Goetz narrowly missed putting up his first 700 series as the boys continue to destroy all who stand in their way. Week #9 action is now in the books...

  • Position Round Robin (Mar 18th, 2014) - The Spring 2014 season is now halfway complete and Pinterest is laying claim to this season's crown. Having put up the 2nd best first half win record in league history, it's going to be their crown to lose as the season progresses. The position round is now in the books and, with it, four teams swapped places in the standings.Ready to find out who made moves during the position round?

  • Batting .857 (Mar 10th, 2014) - Not since the Fall '09 season has a team gotten off to such an incredible start to their season as Pinterest. Currently sitting with an 85.7% win percentage, the loudest and most fun team in the league is on the cusp of making history. Could they be on their way to being only the third team in league history to wrap up the championship by week #13? They'll definitely set the tone next week in the position round. But, for now, let's see how everyone landed for next week's big showdown...

  • Blue Skies for Gray (Mar 4th, 2014) - Week #6 was fraught with ups and downs as almost every single team found a new home in the league standings. Pinterest, however, continues to dominate the league with their impressive 21-3 start and are definitely the team to beat. On an individual basis, many bowlers put up big series and games this week including Sabrina Gray – who rolled her highest series ever. Congrats, Sabrina!

  • They're Going In Dry (Feb 25th, 2014) - Strap yourselves in, gang, as the men of Pinterest continue to emphatically add more and more wins to their already impressive record this season. At 18-2 so far, they are definitely the team to beat as they extend their lead out to four full games ahead of everyone else. Anchor and Hall of Famer Seth Gunderson is having the best season of his career and has his mind set firmly on delivering a championship to his team this time around after falling just short last season. Did we mention that he also shot his all-time career series Tuesday night in the process? Yeah, he did.

  • UpgrayeDD Upgrade (Feb 11th, 2014) - The temperatures outside of the bowling alley may have been below freezing but things were certainly hot inside as 21 bowlers raised their averages on the lanes during Week #3 action.Six teams swapped places on the league standings – none moreso than the men of UpgrayeDD who improved three spots – as the Spring 2014 season marches on.

  • Holey Bowley! (Jan 28th, 2014) - The ups and downs of Week #2 proved to live up to expectations as every single bowler in the league (minus those absent or setting their average this week) either raised or lowered their average. Three teams swept, three teams got swept, and two teams battled one another to a standstill at two games apiece – and even resulted in Bill Krejci knocking a big hole in the wall next to Lane 48. Just your typical night of GutterAlley action...

  • Spring 2013: And the winner is... (May 22nd, 2013) - The Spring 2013 Fun Night closed out the season with an awards ceremony announcing the winners of the individual achievements, season favorites, and the newest addition to the GutterAlley Hall of Fame...

Congratulations to returning league champions Dennis "Pops" Laube, Freda Schroeder, Phil Schroeder, and Aubrey Moren!

  • The 11th Frame – Week 13, Spring 2013 (Apr 26th, 2013) -

  • Breaking Away? (Apr 23rd, 2013) - The Finals are three weeks away and one team has started to separate themselves from the rest of the pack with their eye on the title. While various scenarios are still possible, momentum seems to be on the side of the former championship team that last won it all just last Spring. Can they be stopped or are they simply breaking away? Also this week – a slumping vet turns his season around and earns #1 Power Ranked Bowler honors in the process, a quiet bowler puts on the first MVB performance of her career, and the league shatters the all-time record for most 200+ games in a single season. What a week!

  • Three Up, Two Down (Apr 16th, 2013) - With huge outputs across the league all season from the same handful of bowlers, the biggest performances during Week #12 came from unlikely sources. This week's Most Valuable Bowler nearly put up the best series of her career to keep her team tied with the best record in the league while this week's #1 Power Ranked Bowler put on a clinic against the league's former 1st place team, sending them down in the standings. Ready to find out who all did what? Read on...

  • The 11th Frame – Week 11, Spring 2013 (Apr 12th, 2013) -

  • Challenge Accepted (Apr 2nd, 2013) - Anyone not casting their vote at the end of this season for Kody Karnes to be named Rookie of the Season is absolutely kidding themselves. Putting together three consecutive 200+ games Tuesday night, Karnes rolled this season's fourth 700+ series – and the league's 21st – and raised his average to an even 200. Not too bad for a debut bowler. Curious how everyone else fared? Good...

  • He’s Baaaaaaaaaaaack! (Mar 26th, 2013) - What do you get when you cross Steve Kiernan and a 2+ month absence from the bowling league? Why, a 700+ series...that's what! The impressive output from Steve keeps the team he subbed for firmly in first place while only one team in the league managed to find themselves upward bound in the first week of GutterAlley action after last week's position round. Ready to see how the rest of the league stacked up? Hop to it, then...

  • Arkansas Ass Kickin' (Mar 19th, 2013) - Almost not showing this week, Bill Krejci – the anchor of the appropriately named Murder, He Wrote – arrived fashionably late to deliver an incredible performance in this season's position round to propel his team to a mere half-game out of first place. A new team took over the top spot in the league standings, Mark DeVoe was this week's Most Valuable Bowler, and the league as a whole is more than half way to breaking a long-standing record. Get your GutterAlley on, y'all...

  • The More Things Change... (Mar 13th, 2013) - The league is almost officially half over now that everyone has done battle with one another. The position round comes our way next week but this week's matchup results brought something we haven't seen in quite some time – the top five spots in the league standings are separated by a mere two games. • The 11th Frame – Week 6, Spring 2013 (Mar 8th, 2013) -

  • Birthday Beatdown (Mar 5th, 2013) - To celebrate Freda's birthday Tuesday evening, her team wanted to deliver a spanking to opponents and fellow league standing toppers Snakes on a Plane. By the end of the night, the team came through and Freda and crew now stand atop the charts all by themselves. Also around the league, Neil Rieger said goodbye to GutterAlley with a near perfect game while one team opted to post-bowl making it a later-than-usual week to provide the full update.Ready to see how things ended up? Step right in, then...

  • The 11th Frame: Week 5, Spring 2013 (Feb 21st, 2013) -

  • One Pin Ken (Feb 20th, 2013) - The record for the highest series ever thrown in GutterAlley's history has stood since Week 6 of the Spring 2008 session, when Don Glasscock put up a 770 series. While it still stands as the best, one lousy pin kept Ken M. Wilson from not only throwing a perfect game but also from creating a score that would have bested Don's series. Week #5 is now history...do you know where your favorite team stands?

  • Up, Up, and Away (Feb 12th, 2013) - Superman and Wonder Woman were in the building Tuesday night, on multiple lanes, as the league saw some huge output across the board. An astounding eighteen games of 200+ were thrown in what is shaping up to be one of the highest output seasons in league history...nine by the chumps pictured here.

  • The 11th Frame: Week 3, Spring 2013 (Feb 7th, 2013) -

  • Fo'to Finish (Feb 5th, 2013) - So after three weeks of bowling, four teams – count 'em, 1-2-3-4 – all have the exact same record. Apparently 8-4 is what all the cool kids are amassing after nine games (and total pins) these days. Regardless, the perfect storm of outcomes came to life to create the four-way tie. Ready to see who rolled what to create this jumble? Let's go, then...

  • Murder, They Wrote (Jan 29th, 2013) - The second week of GutterAlley action is now in the history books and one team has raced out to a 7-1 record to lead the league. Angela Lansbury would be proud...

  • The 11th Frame: Week 1, Spring 2013 (Jan 28th, 2013) -

  • Colossal Debuts (Jan 23rd, 2013) - The Spring 2013 season got underway Tuesday night and a good portion of the league forgot that you're not supposed to bowl lights out and set big averages on the first night. Ian Goetz, pictured, was the biggest ignorer of this time honored tradition.Want to see just how well people shot in Week #1? Well, read on...

  • Three is a Magic Number (Aug 29th, 2012) - The new season. Eight teams. 32 bowlers. Initial week results? 3-1 for four teams, 1-3 for the others. Nothing like consistency to get things started, eh?The highlight of the night, though, was seeing Rob Kaszuba receiving his surprise replacement bowling ball after a mishap over the summer that destroyed his regular ball. Thanks to everyone who pitched in on the gift!

  • Spring 2012: And the winner is... (May 8th, 2012) - The 25th season of the GutterAlley bowling league came to a close and the list of winners from the season favorites to individual achievements were announced...as well as Bob Brunker, the latest inductee into the Hall of Fame.

  • Finally the finale, the Finals (May 1st, 2012) - The 25th session of GutterAlley came to a close Tuesday night and, while there was no drama surrounding the big finish for first place, the Goetz boys – as well as AJ Hofmann – made some noise of their own as the sun set on the season. Each now have a story of their own...

  • The Big 5-0 (Apr 24th, 2012) - Before last night, only two teams in league history (one confirmed, one unconfirmed) had earned 50+ wins in a single season. Tuesday night saw another team join that elite group as league champions The Turkey Hunters added another accolade to their incredible run in the Spring 2012 season...

  • V for Victory (Apr 11th, 2012) -

  • The Beard Man Cometh (Mar 28th, 2012) - Barring a miracle, the reigning champions have all but wrapped up their second winning season as they continue to lay waste to any and all teams they face on the lanes. With that, it's now simply a battle for second place as the league marches on towards the Finals on May 1st...and Jonathan Vigliaturo plans to be that team as he continues to improve weekly.

  • Still Some Fight in 'Em (Updated!) (Mar 20th, 2012) - The family rivalry continues as mother hen Freda Schroeder and her Turkey Hunters continue to crush all who face them while son Carl Goetz and daughter Angela Bradford of Strange Bedfellows strive to narrow the gap between the two teams. With only a month and a half left of league bowling, is there enough time to make up the difference? Many think that the Bedfellows should just go to bed...but maybe they still have some fight in 'em.Ready to find out how this week went down? Let's go.

  • Ready, Set, Restart! (Mar 14th, 2012) - With the position round behind the league now, the schedule begins anew with a repeat of the first seven weeks of the season. Did history repeat itself this time around? Not quite, as several teams exacted revenge against their Week #1 opponents in a quest to move up in the league standings. Ready for the second half? So are we...

  • Pole Position (Mar 6th, 2012) - Ahh, the position round...that time honored mid-season event that allows teams to either really put it to their closest competitors and climb the league standings. While one team continues to further extend their domination over the league, other teams in the middle tightened the distance between themselves and the teams just ahead of them. How did everyone do? You're just a click away.

  • Two Records in One (Feb 22nd, 2012) - Personal bests left and right – high games as well as high series. Scores big enough to earn spots on a number of Top 25 lists as well as one in the top five all-time records in league history. One team even tied the biggest output from a 5-person team Tuesday night. What the hell has gotten into all of these people?!?

  • Oh, Bowling...I Love You! (Feb 14th, 2012) - Valentine's Day is typically a time in which you spend your evening with your true love. Such was the case with the faithful as they took the lanes to rekindle a romance with high scores. Love is a fickle creature and, just like in real life, some managed to find bliss. Unlike love, however, people were thrilled when they struck out. Ready to find out how everyone did as they aimed for the lane's arrows rather than expecting Cupid's?

  • Big Games, Big Series (Feb 7th, 2012) - Several bowlers notched their all-time personal bests during Week #4, including one game that looked to be on pace to take the all-time league record. • The Big Finish (Dec 13th, 2011) - What a whirlwind finish to the Fall 2011 season – Ryan Doll shoots a 700+ series, 5 out of the eight teams swapped places in the league standings, and several people rolled their all time personal best games and series including this week's Most Valuable Bowler Eric Summers. Not a bad way to end it all, eh?

  • Futility for the Finals (Dec 6th, 2011) - Freda Schroeder, Phil Schroeder, Dennis "Pops" Laube, and Aubrey Moren finished what they set out to do this season – winning a championship. Besting all other teams en route to the season's best record, No Pinheads were crowned the Fall 2011 champions a full week before the Finals. How's that for a finish? As it turns out, every single team will face the team they faced this week in the Finals. Again, how's THAT for a finish? And, anyone have any idea why Pops looks like he's constipated in their championship photo to the left?

  • Two Games Away (Nov 29th, 2011) - The members of No Pinheads have been in first place since Week #4. Here we are in Week #14 and they are only two games away from ending any doubt as to which team will come away with the championship crown in the Fall 2011 season. Only two weeks remain and, with only one team even able to knock them out, things are looking pretty good for them. Not a single team managed to move up or down this week, despite some stellar games from a few individuals. Ready to hear how everyone did? Let's go, then...

  • Happy Thanks-taking! (Nov 22nd, 2011) - Later this week, many of us will enjoy a feast with our loved ones over a wonderful dinner. Tuesday night, however, three teams in our league made meals out of their opponents on the lanes to begin their holiday week. With one team still waiting to find the results of their matchup due to their competition opting to post-bowl early next week, as it stands at the moment not a single team moved up or down in the league standings. Will this change once the final scores are tallied? We'll have to wait and see...

  • Obviously You're Not a Golfer (Nov 15th, 2011) - Only three more weeks or regular season bowling remain before the eight teams of the Fall 2011 season march into the Finals. Theoretically, any one of four teams could come away with the crown but time is quickly running out. While none of those teams exchanged places in the league standings, the gaps in-between them have tightened setting up these last few weeks for quite a showdown. Two surprising and outstanding performances came to light Tuesday night with Sarah Sauer and Kelly Sands earning #1 Power Ranked Bowler and MVB nods respectively. How did everyone do, though? Let's find out...

  • The Lad and the Legend (Nov 8th, 2011) - Nine different bowlers hoisted games in the 200+ range Tuesday night but, despite the heavy hittings of the pins, only two teams managed to swap places in the league standings. • Still On Top (Oct 25th, 2011) - No Pinheads continues to sit atop the standings, a full eight games ahead of the rest of the league. In the Spring 2008 session, these same four bowlers wrapped up their season as league champions. They seem to be on pace to finish on top but the rest of the league has other plans. Is it too late to catch them or is the fun just getting started? Ready to find out how everything went down this week? Let's get it on.

  • Compromising Position Round (Oct 18th, 2011) - The Fall 2011 season is now half over and, with the position round behind us, the stage has been set for an epic second half. With the league now sensing that No Pinheads can be ousted from the top of the league standings, it's now just a matter of time before some team rises to the occasion to do just that. The second half belongs to anyone and it's now just a matter of watching how it all unfolds. Game on.

  • The Untouchables (Oct 5th, 2011) - Like several seasons before, No Pinheads has dominated the first half of the season. Will this be the season that they can keep up this pace and carry it all the way through the Finals? Seven other teams have plans to derail them on their quest. With the position round just around the corner, there's no telling how things will shape up as the season continues.

  • Bunch of Yo-Yos (Apr 5th, 2011) - Life is filled with ups and downs and the wins, losses and scores from Week #10 in the VML Bowling league certainly reflected that Tuesday night. First and second place took a beating from the 5th and 3rd place teams respectively while individual bowlers across the entire league shot well over or well under their averages. For now, Week #6 managed to keep everyone in their current spots with two exceptions as No Pinheads bunny hopped SucmaBOWLS. Not complacent with the status quo, the league was treated to a nice showing of dedication from Dolls and Balls' anchor Ryan Doll who despite having recently had surgery performed on his bowling arm showed up to keep his team from forfeiting and rolled with his opposite hand to keep his team in the running. Ready to see how everyone did as the first half of the season nears its end?

  • Chip Off the Old Block (Feb 22nd, 2011) - We're now a month into the league and the league standings are offering up some surprises. Several powerhouse teams continue to struggle while other teams savor the sweet nectar of victory at their expense. This week's breakout performance easily goes to Ian Goetz, pictured to the left. Rolling his all-time personal best game and series, Goetz one-upped his father and teammate Carl for the first time all season. Good rolling definitely runs in the family.Ready to see how everyone did?

  • The Mighty Mosques (Nov 2nd, 2010) - As the league moves into the month of November, there is still little movement in the league standings. • Can They Be Stopped? (Sep 14th, 2010) - One month into the bowling league and the members of No Pinheads are definitely kicking ass and taking names. Wilson will do their best to defend their crown and return to the Finals but with several brand new teams in the mix, it's anyone's guess as to who will emerge victorious. So, without further adieu, let's get this party started!
