Week #11 is now in the books and, with it, came some surprising results: for the first time since the very beginning of the season, the league leaders are almost within striking distance. Now leading the league by only four and a half games, the pressure is now on to keep the momentum going. Around the league, four of the eight teams swapped places in the league standings while the lanes saw some pretty nice output. Let's get into the details, shall we?When he made his debut last spring, no one could have predicted that Kody Karnes would go on to become one of the top bowlers the league has ever seen. Putting up the 8th highest series in league history, Karnes' 718 series (not to mention his new personal high game of 268) for Mark It Zero was more than enough to give the struggling team a 4-0 matchup victory over opponents UpgrayeDD as well as earning him #1 Power Ranked bowler honors. With sub David Peak leading the way with his 419 series, the team added another four losses to their 16-game losing streak, the 9th longest GutterAlley has ever seen. Despite the wins, Mark It Zero failed to move anywhere in the standings and remain in 5th while UpgrayeDD holds onto 8th place. On lanes 43 & 44, the shorthanded Schwetty Balls didn't care that half their team was elsewhere. Hall of Famer Angela Bradford was more than ready to take on the task and led her team to a clean sweep over the Twerking Balls. With this week's Most Valuable Bowler performance, Bradford hoisted a 544 series to complete the 4-0 beat down. Twerk's Michael Gordon led the way in the losing effort, finishing his night off with a 421 series. The victories return Schwetty Balls back into 2nd by one game while the losses cause Twerking Balls to drop it like it's hot into 7th place.Having conceded a few weeks back, reigning league champions Bowltron knew that they weren't going to repeat this season as champions. They refused, however, to go quietly and reminded the seemingly invincible Pinterest that they weren't going to lay down in what was probably their last matchup against one another this season. After a narrow victory in Game #1, Bowlton took it on the chin in Game #2 as Pinterest fought back to even it at one game apiece. Game #3, as well as total pins, was earned by 'tron to end the night 3-1 and becoming the first team to hand Pinterest a matchup loss all season. The third bowler on each team led their respective crews, with Bill Krejci's 548 the best for Bowltron and Ian Goetz's 579 the tops for Pinterest. Neither team moved in the standings with Pinterest remaining atop the league and Bowltron sticking to 4th place. In the final matchup of the night, The Finger Holes took on Split It & Hit It and nearly pulled off a sweep but fell just a handful of pins shy of doing so. With a fast start and a Game #1 victory, The F-Holes found themselves in a 10th frame showdown with Split It's Dennis Blake putting up a team leading 512 series to escape with a four pin win in Game #2. Anchor Aubrey Moren reversed the trend immediately in Game #3 to win it with his 582 series, easily taking total pins as well to come away with the 3-1 tally. Although logging three wins, The Finger Holes slip one spot down into 3rd while Split It & Hit It climb one spot into 6th place. The Tournament of Champions currently looks like this:Division 1: Ian Goetz (25), Seth Gunderson (15)Division 2: Phil Schroeder (19), Scott Murdock (16)Division 3: Freda Schroeder (14), Bryan Mohr/Teresa Deterding (12)Division 4: Michael Gordon (24), Michael Smith/AJ Hofmann (13)Bowlers wishing for both nice scores as well as nice weather inside The 200 Club this week include: Angela Bradford (209), Aubrey Moren (213), Bill Krejci (208), Ian Goetz (225), Ken M.
