First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Chicks With Balls deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Chico's Bail Bonds. Despite the strength of Janelle (Laube) Lamar with her above-average 439 series, the Chicks got swept by Chico's. Meanwhile, #1 Head-to-Head Ken M. Wilson oversaw Chico's with his outstanding 608 as they swept the competition. Chicks With Balls remains in 6th place, while Chico's move 1 spot to 2nd.

On lanes 21 & 22: XXX spent a romantic evening with Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends. Led by Tiffany Schmidt with her 320 series, XXX split the series with Wonder Friends. In the midst of this, Ryan Housknecht drew the spotlight in Wonder Friends with his above-average 433 as they matched their opponent in wins. XXX remains in 10th place, while Wonder Friends remain in 9th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, Another Season chucked gutter balls with No Pinheads. Headlined by Duncan Ferber with his 559 series, Another Season collected 3 wins against No Pinheads. In the meantime, Phil Schroeder showed off in No Pinheads with his 476 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, Another Season leaps 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while No Pinheads sink 1 spot to 5th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Turkey Sandwich traded lane malfunctions with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. Although topped by Jason Carpio with his below-average 485 series, Turkey Sandwich got swept by Schlitz. On the adjacent lane, Scott Murdock, Bob Brunker dominated Schlitz with their 493 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Scott Murdock) as they swept the competition. Turkey Sandwich drops 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while Schlitz remains in 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: WWJB kept stealing sips of beer from Rule 6B. Reinforced by #1 Power-Ranked Rich Foster and his spectacular 500 series, WWJB collected 3 wins against Rule 6B. Across the ball return, Ryan Doll reigned supreme in Rule 6B with his 502 despite his team notching only a single win. WWJB leaps 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while Rule 6B sinks 1 spot to 3rd.

A new personal high game was set tonight by Eric Summers (161, previous best 159). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Chris Lewis (515, previous best 502).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson swept Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Ryan Doll came closest). Scott Murdock routed Division 3, and Ryan Housknecht made quick work of Division 4. We are now halfway through the Spring 2009 season, so time is running out for those teams who want a shot at the championship to position themselves. The eighth week saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (202) and series (528) for the women, while Zach Frank earned this week's high game (213) and series (593) for the men. First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Chico's Bail Bonds had a rendezvous with Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends. Blessed by David Codding with his 557 series, Chico's missed a clean sweep over Wonder Friends by just one pin.Simultaneously, Amanda Zahnweh oversaw Wonder Friends with her phenomenal 406 as her team missed getting swept by just one pin. Chico's Bail Bonds leap 2 spots in the standings to 2nd place, while Wonder Friends remain in 8th.

On lanes 21 & 22: WWJB entered a showdown to the death with No Pinheads. Topped by Most Valuable Bowler Rich Foster and his astonishing 417 series, WWJB collected 3 wins against No Pinheads. On the other half of the score sheet, Aubrey Moren mastered No Pinheads with his 519 despite his team notching only a single win. WWJB leaps 1 spot in the standings to 9th place, while No Pinheads plunge 2 spots to 4th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Turkey Sandwich took turns kicking the ball return with XXX. With the strength of #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Zach Frank and his stunning 593 series, Turkey Sandwich collected 3 wins against XXX. As for the opposition, Rich DeYoung reigned supreme in XXX with his above-average 517 despite his team notching only a single win. Turkey Sandwich remains in 7th place, while XXX sinks 1 spot to 10th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Sh!t, Another Season chucked gutter balls with Chicks With Balls. Led by Duncan Ferber with his above-average 567 series, Another Season collected 3 wins against the Chicks. Meanwhile, Janelle (Laube) Lamar took the lead in the Chicks with her 413 despite her team notching only a single win. Sh!t, Another Season leaps 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while the Chicks sink 1 spot to 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Rule 6B hung out with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. Starring Adam Messner with his splendid 539 series, Rule 6B split the series with Schlitz. On the other side, Angela Bradford guided Schlitz with her above-average 528 as they matched their opponent in wins. Rule 6B remains in 3rd place, while Schlitz remains in 1st.

Adam Messner rolled his ass to the top of Division 3, and Zach Frank routed Division 4. A stagnated seventh week of Spring 2009 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (192) and series (514) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (252) and series (662) for the men. Countering this, Janelle (Laube) Lamar ruled the Chicks with her above-average 435 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Kelly Minihan) as her team took the series with 3 wins. On lanes 21 & 22: Rule 6B tussled with Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends. With top billing by Ryan Doll with his 486 series, Rule 6B collected 3 wins against Wonder Friends. Conversely, Ryan Housknecht drew the spotlight in Wonder Friends with his above-average 407 despite his team notching only a single win. Rule 6B remains in 3rd place, while Wonder Friends remain in 8th.

On lanes 23 & 24: No Pinheads had some one-on-one time with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. With the strength of Pat Searcy with his dazzling 662 series, No Pinheads collected 3 wins against Schlitz. Concurrently, Bob Brunker oversaw Schlitz with his 548 despite his team notching only a single win. No Pinheads remains in 2nd place, while Schlitz remains in 1st.

On lanes 25 & 26: XXX couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Chico's Bail Bonds. Although blessed by Rich DeYoung with his above-average 518 series, XXX accomplished only 1 win against Chico's. On the other half of the score sheet, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz called the shots for Chico's with his marvelous 632 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Sh!t, Another Season took turns kicking the ball return with WWJB. Showcasing Rob Kaszuba with his above-average 496 series, Another Season celebrated a clean sweep over WWJB. On the other side, AJ Taylor showed off in WWJB with his 392 despite his team getting swept. Sh!t, Another Season remains in 6th place, while WWJB remains in 10th.
