Now with less than four weeks until the Finals, the season that seemed to be almost wrapped up by a single team a little while back has been drastically rewritten. Now that we're more than half way done with the Fall 2013 season, the curse that seemed to be keeping the league from rolling high scores seems to have been lifted. Couple that with a team well on their way to running away with the title way before the Finals and we may be watching a battle for second place in this second half. Kicking off in the Spring 2011 season, our bowling community collectively cast its votes for the inaugural class of enshrinees to the GutterAlley Hall of Fame. These initial four bowlers were tasked with carrying on the Hall's enshrinement duties, promising that one new bowler would make his or her way to join them at the end of every season going forward. Week #7 is the round each season in which every team has done battle against one another. This time around, the underdogs seemed to land some pretty solid punches against their opponents although not a single team moved at all in the league standings. Week #6 is now in the history books and with it came very little in the realm of teams moving around in the league standings. While the league's overall average was better than we've seen lately, not much noise has been made at all on the lanes this season. Averages continue to be down, we're only seeing a fraction of the number of 200+ games typically rolled, and teams continue to underperform and yet come away with victories. Getting half the league to swap places in the league standings every Tuesday night seems to quickly be on its way to becoming the norm. Week #4 brought a group of familiar faces back atop the league after a powerful performance from a man figuring out a new ball. When we first began kicking around the idea of creating a Hall of Fame for GutterAlley, I talked to Scoot about who I figured were the shoo-ins right off the bat.
