The ninth week of Spring 2005 saw three teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (199) and series (580) for the women. As for the men, Demond Robinson snagged this week's high game with a 234, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 600. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Handicrappers hung out with The Incredibowls. Even though highlighted by the skills of Amanda Schulte with her above-average 379 series, Handicrappers got swept by The Incredibowls. On the flipside, Carl Goetz dominated The Incredibowls with his above-average 600 as they swept the competition. Handicrappers drop 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while The Incredibowls jump 2 spots to 6th.

On lanes 21 & 22: Sub Parre tussled with Big Pin Pin. Topped by Andy Metzler with his above-average 492 series, Sub Parre collected 3 wins against Pin Pin. On the other side, Brad Zollars ruled Pin Pin with his above-average 446 despite his team notching only a single win. Sub Parre leaps 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Pin Pin sinks 1 spot to 7th.

On lanes 23 & 24: 4 Play had a rendezvous with Bowlingstar Galactica. Demonstrating the prowess of trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Angela Bradford and her amazing 580 series, 4 Play celebrated a clean sweep over the Galactica. On the adjacent lane, Jason Carpio laid down the law in the Galactica with his phenomenal 569 despite his team getting swept. 4 Play leaps 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while the Galactica sinks 1 spot to 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: All Belt, No Buckle couldn't stop inappropriately groping Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Starring Nik Domann with his above-average 546 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against Nellielocks. On the other half of the score sheet, Dennis Laube commanded Nellielocks with his 506 despite his team notching only a single win. All Belt, No Buckle drops 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Nellielocks remain in 5th.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Carl Goetz topped Division 1, while Angela Bradford creamed Division 2. Scott Murdock swept Division 3, and Andrea Wilson spanked Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz reigns over Division 1; Michael Basham is in the driver's seat in Division 2; Freda Schroeder tops Division 3; and Andrea Wilson dominates Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 19&20, 5th-place Nellielocks and the 3 Spares will chuck some balls with 8th-place Bowlingstar Galactica (hcp 11). Nellielocks are expected to perform well and sweep the series; while the Galactica is forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
• Moving to lanes 21&22, 2nd-place All Belt, No Buckle will face 1st-place 4 Play (hcp 36). The Belt might perform well and win the series; while 4 Play ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
• Then, over on lanes 23&24, 4th-place Handicrappers (hcp 4) will throw some gutter balls with 3rd-place Sub Parre.
