The ninth week of Spring 2005 saw three teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (199) and series (580) for the women. As for the men, Demond Robinson snagged this week's high game with a 234, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 600. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Handicrappers shared a platter of cheese sticks with The Incredibowls. Though reinforced by Amanda Schulte with her above-average 379 series, Handicrappers got swept by The Incredibowls. On the flipside, Carl Goetz reigned supreme in The Incredibowls with his above-average 600 as they swept the competition. Handicrappers drop 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while The Incredibowls jump 2 spots to 6th.

Sub Parre leaps 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Pin Pin sinks 1 spot to 7th.
On lanes 23 & 24: 4 Play sparred with Bowlingstar Galactica. Blessed by trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Angela Bradford and her breathtaking 580 series, 4 Play celebrated a clean sweep over the Galactica. Countering this, Jason Carpio dominated the Galactica with his dramatic 569 despite his team getting swept. 4 Play leaps 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while the Galactica sinks 1 spot to 8th.
Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: All Belt, No Buckle alternated between bowling and dry humping Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Headlined by Nik Domann with his above-average 546 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against Nellielocks. In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Carl Goetz rolled his ass to the top of Division 1, while Angela Bradford staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 2. Scott Murdock swept Division 3, and Andrea Wilson spanked Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz is in the driver's seat in Division 1; Michael Basham leads Division 2; Freda Schroeder governs Division 3; and Andrea Wilson calls the shots for Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 19&20, 5th-place Nellielocks and the 3 Spares will battle 8th-place Bowlingstar Galactica (hcp 11). Nellielocks are expected to perform well and sweep the series; while the Galactica is forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 2nd-place All Belt, No Buckle will face 1st-place 4 Play (hcp 36). The Belt might perform well and win the series; while 4 Play ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 4th-place Handicrappers (hcp 4) will share a couple of pitchers with 3rd-place Sub Parre. Handicrappers will likely roll decently, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Sub Parre will probably raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Finally, on lanes 25&26, 6th-place The Incredibowls will compete against 7th-place Big Pin Pin (hcp 39). The Incredibowls are predicted to perform well and win the series; while Pin Pin is anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
