The Spring 2007 position round is now history, and and the championship will be on us before we know it! The tenth week saw three teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (176) and series (488) for the women, while John Boren earned this week's high game (267) and series (701) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Guttersluts spent a romantic evening with Oily Balls. Highlighting the skills of #1 Power-Ranked John Boren and his astonishing 701 series, Guttersluts celebrated a clean sweep over Oily Balls. In the meantime, Pat Searcy dominated Oily Balls with his below-average 537 despite his team getting swept. Guttersluts remains in 1st place, while Oily Balls plunge 2 spots to 4th.
On lanes 17 & 18: Unstoppabowl traded lane malfunctions with X9XX. Reinforced by Cory Chorpenning with his 562 series, Unstoppabowl split the series with X9XX. Simultaneously, Don Glasscock drew the spotlight in X9XX with his above-average 677 as they matched their opponent in wins. Unstoppabowl leaps 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while X9XX moves 1 spot to 3rd.
On lanes 19 & 20: Those 4 Bowlers couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Churn and Burn. Featuring Seth Gunderson with his spectacular 620 series, 4 Bowlers collected 3 wins against Churn and Burn. In the midst of this, Jason Carpio shined in Churn and Burn with his below-average 492 despite his team notching only a single win. Those 4 Bowlers remains in 5th place, while Churn and Burn remains in 6th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Frickin' Ten Pin alternated between bowling and dry humping Doll's Balls. Despite being led by Carl Goetz with his above-average 595 series, Ten Pin accomplished only 1 win against Doll's Balls. Countering this, #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler John Richardson reigned supreme in Doll's Balls with his terrific 564 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Frickin' Ten Pin drops 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while Doll's Balls move 1 spot to 7th.
Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: King Pins sparred with T.B.D.. Starring Duncan Ferber with his above-average 591 series, King Pins split the series with T.B.D.. On the other half of the score sheet, Steve Kiernan guided T.B.D. with his above-average 579 as they matched their opponent in wins. King Pins remains in 9th place, while T.B.D. remains in 10th.

New personal high games were set tonight by Seth Gunderson (258, previous best 230) and Chris Lewis (198, previous best 177). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Seth Gunderson (620, previous best 611) and Chris Lewis (469, previous best 447). Adding to the excitement, the 701 rolled by John Boren is this season's new high series for men.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: John Boren trounced Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Seth Gunderson came closest). John Richardson had his way with Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Emily Austin came closest). Finally, Freda Schroeder (Division 2) creamed this week's Interdivisional bracket.Finally, Kendall Kukowski (Division 4) creamed this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: John Boren leads Division 1; Seth Gunderson is in the driver's seat in Division 2; Deena Slinkard and Dave Hickerson hold the reins in Division 3 in a tie; and Kendall Kukowski runs the show in Division 4.

- First, on lanes 15&16, 5th-place Those 4 Bowlers will hang out with 7th-place Doll's Balls (hcp 6). 4 Bowlers are expected to perform well and win the series; while Doll's Balls are forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.

Churn and Burn is predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Guttersluts; while Guttersluts are anticipated to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
