Spring 2008 Week 12 Robo-RecapThe tweltfh week of Spring 2008 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (202) and series (484) for the women. As for the men, Don Glasscock snagged this week's high game with a 257, and high series was earned by Cory Chorpenning with a 669. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: 3 Dudes and a Doll tussled with Ebowla. Even though highlighted by the skills of Chris Rigdon with his 524 series, 3 Dudes and a Doll accomplished only 1 win against Ebowla. Conversely, Travis Kleiner drew the spotlight in Ebowla with his above-average 486 as his team took the series with 3 wins. 3 Dudes and a Doll remains in 3rd place, while Ebowla remains in 8th.

Jeremy Cline celebrates the passage of medical marijuana in Missouri.On lanes 21 & 22: Dios Mios hung out with Bad Newz Kennels. Despite being led by Bill Krejci with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 435 series, Dios Mios got swept by the Kennels. In the midst of this, Dennis Laube commanded the Kennels with his above-average 553 as they swept the competition. Dios Mios drop 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while the Kennels remain in 1st.

On lanes 23 & 24: You Don't Know Sh!t traded lane malfunctions with Split Happens. With the strength of Cory Chorpenning with his above-average 669 series, Don't Know Sh!t celebrated a clean sweep over Split Happens. . With Split Happens forfeiting, all Don't Know Sh!t needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. You Don't Know Sh!t remains in 2nd place, while Split Happens sink 1 spot to 10th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Dr. Strangelanes, Or How I Learned To Stop Opening And Earn The Belt celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Sofa King Good. Showcasing Most Valuable Bowler Shaun Crockett and his splendid 531 series, Dr. Strangelanes collected 3 wins against Sofa King. While that was going down, Don Glasscock guided Sofa King with his below-average 609 despite his team notching only a single win. Dr. Strangelanes, Or How I Learned To Stop Opening And Earn The Belt remains in 5th place, while Sofa King moves 1 spot to 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: ? took turns kicking the ball return with It's Britney, Bitch. Topped by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Joel Teply and his dazzling 474 series, ? collected 3 wins against Britney. In the meantime, Jeff Unseld ruled Britney with his above-average 428 despite his team notching only a single win. ? remains in 4th place, while Britney moves 1 spot to 9th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Shaun Crockett (531, previous best 492).


In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Duncan Ferber triumphed over his enemies in Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Scott Murdock came closest). Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Chris Rigdon came closest), and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Jeff Unseld came closest). Finally, Shaun Crockett (Division 4) spanked this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Kendall Kukowski dominates Division 1; Dennis Laube governs Division 2; Kris Hiestand is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Shaun Crockett calls the shots Division 4.

  • First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place Bad Newz Kennels will share a couple of pitchers with 5th-place Dr. Strangelanes, Or How I Learned To Stop Opening And Earn The Belt (hcp 18). The Kennels are expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Dr. Strangelanes are forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 10th-place Split Happens (hcp 68) will chuck some balls with 3rd-place 3 Dudes and a Doll. Split Happens might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while 3 Dudes and a Doll ought to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.

Sofa King is predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Don't Know Sh!t is anticipated to drop their average a bit even as enjoy their victories.
