Fall 2007 Week 14 Robo-RecapThe fourteenth week of Fall 2007 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Jennifer Seefeldt picked up this week's high game (183) and series (498) for the women. As for the men, Jason Carpio snagged this week's high game with a 223, and high series was earned by Ryan Doll with a 595. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Bad Newz Kennels traded lane malfunctions with Sh!t, I Don't Know. Despite the strength of Dennis Laube with his dazzling 546 series, the Kennels accomplished only 1 win against I Don't Know. On the other half of the score sheet, Cory Chorpenning ruled I Don't Know with his 593 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bad Newz Kennels drop 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while I Don't Know moves 1 spot to 1st.

An irritated Kody waits for Russell to bowl.On lanes 19 & 20: Seriously Handicapped shared a platter of cheese sticks with Dios Mios. Demonstrating the prowess of Tyler Hilker with his 505 series, the Handicapped collected 3 wins against Dios Mios. Concurrently, #1 Power-Ranked Dave Winger guided Dios Mios with his miraculous 488 despite his team notching only a single win. Seriously Handicapped remains in 10th place, while Dios Mios remain in 3rd.

On lanes 21 & 22: Seefeldt the Glasscock couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Your Mom. Although topped by Ken M. Wilson with his 524 series, the Glasscock accomplished only 1 win against Your Mom. On the adjacent lane, #1 Head-to-Head Ryan Doll laid down the law in Your Mom with his above-average 595 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Seefeldt the Glasscock remains in 4th place, while Your Mom moves 1 spot to 8th.

On lanes 23 & 24: The GameCox accepted a challenge by Cannonbelt Run. Led by Jason Carpio with his remarkable 588 series, the GameCox split the series with Cannonbelt. In the meantime, Nik Domann reigned supreme in Cannonbelt with his 488 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Shaun Crockett) as they matched their opponent in wins. The GameCox drops 1 spot in the standings to 9th place, while Cannonbelt remains in 5th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Ebowla chucked gutter balls with Split Happens. Regardless of the star power of Travis Kleiner with his 410 series, Ebowla accomplished only 1 win against Split Happens. In the midst of this, Nick Allegri commanded Split Happens with his below-average 424 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Ebowla remains in 7th place, while Split Happens remain in 6th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Ebowla kept stealing sips of beer from Sh!t, I Don't Know. Notwithstanding the leadership of Travis Kleiner with his below-average 369 series, Ebowla got swept by I Don't Know. While that was going down, #1 Head-to-Head Cory Chorpenning drew the spotlight in I Don't Know with his above-average 656 as they swept the competition. Ebowla drops 1 spot in the standings to 9th place, while I Don't Know jumps 3 spots to 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Split Happens had some one-on-one time with The GameCox. Though featuring James Long with his astonishing 548 series, Split Happens accomplished only 1 win against the GameCox. Conversely, Jason Carpio laid down the law in the GameCox with his dramatic 577 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Split Happens drop 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while the GameCox moves 1 spot to 6th.

Bowlers sneaking into The 200 Club include: Brian Eye (240), Cory Chorpenning (207,225,224), Don Glasscock (255), James Long (221), Jason Carpio (214), Ken M. Wilson (215), and Tyler Hilker (234)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Steve Kiernan came closest), while Jason Carpio mopped up Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Scott Murdock came closest), and Janelle (Laube) Lamar walloped Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Amanda Cox Jeter (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Duncan Ferber reigns over Division 1; Nik Domann and Tyler Hilker dominate Division 2 in a tie; David Parre tops Division 3; and Janelle (Laube) Lamar and Travis Kleiner govern Division 4 in a tie.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 19&20, 9th-place Ebowla (hcp 199) will meet with 2nd-place Seefeldt the Glasscock. Ebowla is expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while the Glasscock is forecast to drop their average a bit even as they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 4th-place Cannonbelt Run will roll against 7th-place Split Happens (hcp 28). Cannonbelt might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Split Happens ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 3rd-place Bad Newz Kennels will spend some quality time with 6th-place The GameCox (hcp 70). The Kennels will likely maintain their current strength as they just barely miss sweeping the series; while the GameCox will probably hold steady as they just barely avoid getting swept.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 8th-place Your Mom will compete against 10th-place Seriously Handicapped (hcp 28). Your Mom might perform well and win the series; while the Handicapped ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 5th-place Dios Mios (hcp 73) will chuck some balls with 1st-place Sh!t, I Don't Know. Dios Mios are predicted to roll a little low and get swept; while I Don't Know is anticipated to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
