Spring 2007 Week 7 Robo-RecapThe seventh week of Spring 2007 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and three rolled new personal high games. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (195) and series (551) for the women. As for the men, Carl Goetz snagged this week's high game with a 258, and high series was earned by Pat Searcy with a 672. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: X9XX spent a romantic evening with Those 4 Bowlers. With the strength of Dennis Laube with his below-average 461 series, X9XX split the series with 4 Bowlers. As for the opposition, Seth Gunderson guided 4 Bowlers with his 503 as they matched their opponent in wins. X9XX remains in 4th place, while 4 Bowlers remain in 5th.

week7On lanes 17 & 18: Guttersluts faced off against King Pins. Blessed by John Boren with his 529 series, Guttersluts split the series with King Pins. In the meantime, Duncan Ferber drew the spotlight in King Pins with his below-average 489 as they matched their opponent in wins. Guttersluts remains in 3rd place, while King Pins remain in 10th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Oily Balls had a delightful time with Unstoppabowl. Highlighting the skills of Pat Searcy with his remarkable 672 series, Oily Balls collected 3 wins against Unstoppabowl. On the flipside, Cory Chorpenning reigned supreme in Unstoppabowl with his 564 despite his team notching only a single win. Oily Balls leap 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while Unstoppabowl sinks 1 spot to 2nd.

On lanes 21 & 22: Frickin' Ten Pin had a rendezvous with Doll's Balls. Featuring Carl Goetz with his astounding 640 series, with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler , Ten Pin split the series with Doll's Balls. Concurrently, Ryan Doll took the lead in Doll's Balls with his above-average 528 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Ben Lee) as they matched their opponent in wins. Frickin' Ten Pin drops 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while Doll's Balls remain in 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: T.B.D. celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Churn and Burn. In spite of the prowess of Nik Domann with his above-average 551 series, T.B.D. accomplished only 1 win against Churn and Burn. On the other half of the score sheet, #1 Power-Ranked Jason Carpio shined in Churn and Burn with his wondrous 629 as his team took the series with 3 wins. T.B.D. remains in 9th place, while Churn and Burn moves 1 spot to 6th.

New personal high games were set tonight by Kris Hiestand (184, previous best 175), Phil Schroeder (231, previous best 225), and Ben Lee (167, previous best 156). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Phil Schroeder (606, previous best 532) and Ben Lee (419, previous best 405).

The 258 rolled by Carl Goetz is the new 9th-best game in league history!


In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Carl Goetz whipped Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Jason Carpio came closest). Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Kris Hiestand came closest), and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Kendall Kukowski came closest). Spring 2007 Week 6 Robo-RecapThe sixth week of Spring 2007 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Sara Bryant landed this week's high game for the women with a 178, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 496. As for the men, John Coleman snagged this week's high game with a 225, and high series was earned by Pat Searcy with a 621. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Unstoppabowl shared a few beers with Churn and Burn. With top billing by Cory Chorpenning with his 577 series, Unstoppabowl collected 3 wins against Churn and Burn. On the other side, James Cholke oversaw Churn and Burn with his below-average 462 despite his team notching only a single win. Unstoppabowl remains in 1st place, while Churn and Burn remains in 7th.

week6On lanes 17 & 18: Those 4 Bowlers kept stealing sips of beer from Frickin' Ten Pin. Reinforced by Seth Gunderson with his above-average 544 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Shaun Crockett, 4 Bowlers collected 3 wins against Ten Pin. Conversely, Carl Goetz called the shots for Ten Pin with his 525 despite his team notching only a single win. Those 4 Bowlers leap 3 spots in the standings to 5th place, while Ten Pin sinks 1 spot to 6th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Guttersluts celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with T.B.D.. Headlined by John Boren with his 525 series, Guttersluts celebrated a clean sweep over T.B.D.. Countering this, Steve Kiernan drew the spotlight in T.B.D. with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 473 despite his team getting swept. Spring 2007 Week 5 Robo-RecapThe fifth week of Spring 2007 saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (188) and series (541) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (247) and series (648) for the men. First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Frickin' Ten Pin traded lane malfunctions with Guttersluts. Highlighting the skills of Carl Goetz with his above-average 584 series, Ten Pin celebrated a clean sweep over Guttersluts. On the other side, Bill Krejci dominated Guttersluts with his above-average 581 despite his team getting swept. Frickin' Ten Pin leaps 4 spots in the standings to 5th place, while Guttersluts plunge 2 spots to 3rd.

Brian Byfield's cross-lanes incident tonight might not have been quite this cool, but it was still impressive.On lanes 17 & 18: X9XX entered a showdown to the death with T.B.D.. Topped by Dennis Laube with his 519 series, X9XX split the series with T.B.D.. Conversely, Steve Kiernan called the shots for T.B.D. with his below-average 541 as they matched their opponent in wins. On lanes 21 & 22: Those 4 Bowlers couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Oily Balls. Spring 2007 Week 4 Robo-RecapThe fourth week of Spring 2007 saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. First up, on lanes 15 & 16: King Pins waged a heated competition against Oily Balls. Despite being led by Duncan Ferber with his above-average 581 series, King Pins accomplished only 1 win against Oily Balls. In the midst of this, Ken M. Wilson drew the spotlight in Oily Balls with his 593 as his team took the series with 3 wins. King Pins remains in 10th place, while Oily Balls remain in 2nd.

On lanes 19 & 20: Those 4 Bowlers spent a romantic evening with Guttersluts. Though featuring Nik Domann with his 493 series, 4 Bowlers accomplished only 1 win against Guttersluts. Across the ball return, Bill Krejci called the shots for Guttersluts with his miraculous 562 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Those 4 Bowlers remains in 5th place, while Guttersluts remain in 1st.

On lanes 21 & 22: Churn and Burn kept stealing sips of beer from X9XX. While headlined by James Cholke with his above-average 539 series, Churn and Burn got swept by X9XX. Concurrently, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Stefan Miller ruled X9XX with his fantastic 682 as they swept the competition. Churn and Burn plummets 2 spots in the standings to 8th place, while X9XX jumps 3 spots to 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Frickin' Ten Pin had some one-on-one time with T.B.D.. Although topped by Phil Schroeder with his above-average 511 series, Ten Pin accomplished only 1 win against T.B.D.. Conversely, Steve Kiernan guided T.B.D. with his 573 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Frickin' Ten Pin drops 1 spot in the standings to 9th place, while T.B.D. jumps 3 spots to 6th.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Cory Chorpenning eradicated Division 1, while Stefan Miller conquered Division 2. Chris Lewis crushed Division 3, and Daniel Bolton won Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Kendall Kukowski (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Cory Chorpenning tops Division 1; Stefan Miller calls the shots Division 2; Chris Lewis dominates Division 3; and Daniel Bolton reigns over Division 4.
