The Fall 2006 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Deena Slinkard landed this week's high game for the women with a 192, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 502. As for the men, David Codding earned this week's high game (222) and series (623). Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 11 & 12: New Balls, Old Rack took turns kicking the ball return with Guttersluts. With top billing by Ken M. Wilson with his 527 series, the Old Rack collected 3 wins against the Guttersluts. On the other side, Kris Hiestand drew the spotlight in the Guttersluts with his 347 despite his team notching only a single win. New Balls, Old Rack starts out in 4th place, while the Guttersluts begin in 9th.
On lanes 13 & 14: Hez-Bowl-lah waged a heated competition against All Belts Are Off. While headlined by Nik Domann with his 473 series, Hez-Bowl-lah accomplished only 1 win against the Belt. In the meantime, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head David Codding dominated the Belt with his 623 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Hez-Bowl-lah leaves the gate in 6th place, while the Belt starts off with 2nd.
On lanes 15 & 16: Frickin' Ten Pins shared a platter of cheese sticks with TBD. Led by Carl Goetz with his 539 series, Frickin' Ten Pins celebrated a clean sweep over TBD. Conversely, David Parre took the lead in TBD with his 456 despite his team getting swept. Frickin' Ten Pins begins the season in 1st place, while TBD commences the season with 10th.
On lanes 17 & 18: Manute Bowl hung out with Bowlkake2. Despite the strength of Andy McLeod with his 435 series, Manute Bowl accomplished only 1 win against Bowlkake2. While that was going down, Thomas Lin oversaw Bowlkake2 with his 548 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Manute Bowl gets underway in 7th place, while Bowlkake2 gets going with 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 19 & 20: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter faced off against Split Happens. Notwithstanding the leadership of Ryan Doll with his 475 series, Not Gutter accomplished only 1 win against Split Happens. Across the ball return, Nick Allegri guided Split Happens with his 545 as his team took the series with 3 wins. I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter 8th place, while Split Happens 5th.
