Fall 2005 Week 12 Robo-RecapThe tweltfh week of Fall 2005 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (210) and series (524) for the women. As for the men, Seth Gunderson snagged this week's high game with a 230, and high series was earned by Andy Metzler with a 600. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Same Belt, New Notch entered a showdown to the death with The Big LeBowlskies. Topped by Seth Gunderson with his spectacular 552 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against The Big LeBowlskies. In the midst of this, Janelle (Laube) Lamar mastered The Big LeBowlskies with her above-average 457 despite her team notching only a single win. Same Belt, New Notch remains in 3rd place, while The Big LeBowlskies sink 1 spot to 5th.

In spite of the prowess of Andy Metzler with his splendid 600 series, Harry Potter accomplished only 1 win against Bora Bora!. Across the ball return, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head John Richardson commanded Bora Bora! with his phenomenal 566 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Harry Potter and the Magic Balls remains in 7th place, while Bora Bora! remains in 2nd.

On lanes 25 & 26: Munson'd had a delightful time with Three Men and a Babe. With Munson'd forfeiting, all Three Men and a Babe needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. In their battle to get within at least 40 pins of average, David Codding ruled Three Men and a Babe with his 572 as they swept the competition. Munson'd remains in 8th place, while Three Men and a Babe remains in 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Tatonka alternated between bowling and dry humping Derka, Derka. While headlined by Andy McLeod with his 349 series, Tatonka got swept by Derka, Derka. On the flipside, Most Valuable Bowler Thomas Lin dominated Derka, Derka with his terrific 584 as they swept the competition. Tatonka remains in 1st place, while Derka, Derka moves 1 spot to 4th.

Bowlers ducking past the bouncer at The 200 Club include: Andy Metzler (222), David Codding (204,201), Freda Schroeder (210), Seth Gunderson (230), and Thomas Lin (202,202)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Seth Gunderson (230, previous best 218). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Andy Metzler (600, previous best 543).

Adding to the excitement, the 524 rolled by Freda Schroeder is this season's new high series among women.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Thomas Lin spanked Division 1, while Freda Schroeder routed Division 2. Phil Schroeder got the better of Division 3, and John Richardson mopped up Division 4. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson holds the reins in Division 1; Seth Gunderson and Scott Murdock dominate Division 2 in a tie; Phil Schroeder reigns over Division 3; and John Richardson leads Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 21&22, 1st-place Tatonka (hcp 34) will battle 7th-place Harry Potter and the Magic Balls. Tatonka is expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Harry Potter is forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 23&24, 5th-place The Big LeBowlskies (hcp 22) will throw some gutter balls with 6th-place Three Men and a Babe. The Big LeBowlskies might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Three Men and a Babe ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 25&26, 2nd-place Bora Bora! (hcp 48) will spend some quality time with 4th-place Derka, Derka. Bora Bora! will likely roll decently, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Derka, Derka will probably hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 8th-place Munson'd (hcp 140) will face 3rd-place Same Belt, New Notch. Munson'd is predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Belt is anticipated to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
