The thirteenth week of Fall 2003 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (222) and series (563) for the women. As for the men, Pat Searcy snagged this week's high game with a 232, and high series was earned by Ken M. First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Bowlers of Mass Confusion couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Bowl me Ishmael!. In spite of top-billing by Jason Carpio with his 485 series, Mass Confusion accomplished only 1 win against Ishmael. On the other side, Michael Basham reigned supreme in Ishmael with his above-average 460 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlers of Mass Confusion remains in 2nd place, while Ishmael remains in 3rd.
On lanes 17 & 18: Spare Change alternated between bowling and dry humping Gutter Minds. Though featuring Bill Krejci with his above-average 524 series, Spare Change got swept by Gutter Minds. On the flipside, Pat Searcy mastered Gutter Minds with his above-average 619 as they swept the competition. Spare Change remains in 8th place, while Gutter Minds move 1 spot to 6th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Wolverines shared a platter of cheese sticks with Theee Beeelt. Headlined by Thomas Lin with his above-average 575 series, the Wolverines collected 3 wins against Theee Beeelt. Concurrently, Aaron Weidner oversaw Theee Beeelt with his above-average 516 despite his team notching only a single win. Wolverines leap 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Theee Beeelt sinks 1 spot to 5th.
Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Atomic Goo chucked gutter balls with Anchors Aweigh!. Regardless of the star power of Phil Schroeder with his above-average 442 series, Atomic Goo got swept by the Anchors. Countering this, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Ken M. Wilson called the shots for the Anchors with his wondrous 631 as they swept the competition. Atomic Goo drops 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while the Anchors remain in 1st.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson cleaned up Division 1, while Thomas Lin shut down Division 2. Scott Murdock conquered Division 3, and Janelle (Laube) Lamar crushed Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz dominates Division 1; Pat Searcy leads Division 2; Seth Gunderson runs the show in Division 3; and Dennis Pruitt is in the driver's seat in Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 15&16, 4th-place Wolverines (hcp 86) will tussle with 1st-place Anchors Aweigh!. The Wolverines are expected to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Anchors are forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Moving to lanes 17&18, 5th-place Theee Beeelt will face 7th-place Atomic Goo (estimated hcp 50). Theee Beeelt might perform well and win the series; while Atomic Goo ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Bowl me Ishmael! (hcp 80) will compete against 8th-place Spare Change. Ishmael will likely roll decently, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Spare Change will probably hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
- Finally, on lanes 21&22, 6th-place Gutter Minds will spend some quality time with 2nd-place Bowlers of Mass Confusion (hcp 33). Gutter Minds are predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Mass Confusion; while Mass Confusion is anticipated to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
