The tenth week of Spring 2005 saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Janelle (Laube) Lamar landed this week's high game for the women with a 186, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 505. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson snagged this week's high game with a 244, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 585. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Nellielocks and the 3 Spares matched wits with Bowlingstar Galactica. Blessed by Most Valuable Bowler Janelle (Laube) Lamar and her dazzling 491 series, Nellielocks collected 3 wins against the Galactica. Concurrently, Jason Carpio oversaw the Galactica with his 489 despite his team notching only a single win. Nellielocks and the 3 Spares leap 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while the Galactica remains in 8th.

On lanes 21 & 22: All Belt, No Buckle did battle with 4 Play. With the strength of Demond Robinson with his above-average 555 series, the Belt split the series with 4 Play. Simultaneously, Ken M. Wilson shined in 4 Play with his dramatic 582 as they matched their opponent in wins. All Belt, No Buckle remains in 2nd place, while 4 Play remains in 1st.

On lanes 23 & 24: Handicrappers shared a few beers with Sub Parre. Notwithstanding the leadership of Paul Linder with his above-average 426 series, Handicrappers accomplished only 1 win against Sub Parre. On the flipside, David Parre dominated Sub Parre with his above-average 491 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Handicrappers plummet 2 spots in the standings to 6th place, while Sub Parre remains in 3rd.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: The Incredibowls kept grabbing the balls of Big Pin Pin. Starring Carl Goetz with his above-average 585 series, The Incredibowls celebrated a clean sweep over Pin Pin. As for the opposition, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Bart Smith guided Pin Pin with his marvelous 446 despite his team getting swept. The Incredibowls leap 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Pin Pin remains in 7th.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Pat Searcy staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 1, while Nik Domann clobbered Division 2. Janelle (Laube) Lamar routed Division 3, and Bart Smith cleaned up Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz leads Division 1; Michael Basham dominates Division 2; Freda Schroeder is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Amanda Schulte runs the show in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Sub Parre (hcp 65) will battle 1st-place 4 Play. Sub Parre is expected to perform well, but split the series with 4 Play; while 4 Play is forecast to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
• Moving to lanes 21&22, 4th-place Nellielocks and the 3 Spares will socialize with 5th-place The Incredibowls (hcp 12). Nellielocks might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while The Incredibowls ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
• Then, over on lanes 23&24, 2nd-place All Belt, No Buckle will hang out with 7th-place Big Pin Pin (hcp 71). The Belt will likely maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Pin Pin will probably raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
• Finally, on lanes 25&26, 6th-place Handicrappers (hcp 80) will chill with 8th-place Bowlingstar Galactica. Handicrappers are predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with the Galactica; while the Galactica is anticipated to drop their average a bit while keep the series tied.
