The Spring 2007 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder landed this week's high game for the women with a 170, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 465. As for the men, Carl Goetz snagged this week's high game with a 234, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz and Pat Searcy, who tied with a 595. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Oily Balls sparred with T.B.D.. Blessed by Pat Searcy with his 595 series, Oily Balls celebrated a clean sweep over T.B.D.. In the midst of this, Steve Kiernan guided T.B.D. with his 528 despite his team getting swept. Oily Balls gets underway in 1st place, while T.B.D. starts off with 10th.
On lanes 17 & 18: Doll's Balls alternated between bowling and dry humping Those 4 Bowlers. Starring Ryan Doll with his 487 series, Doll's Balls split the series with 4 Bowlers. As for the opposition, Seth Gunderson mastered 4 Bowlers with his 470 as they matched their opponent in wins. Doll's Balls starts out in 5th place, while 4 Bowlers get going with 6th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Unstoppabowl accepted a challenge by X9XX. Topped by #1 Head-to-Head Cory Chorpenning and his 584 series, Unstoppabowl split the series with X9XX. Countering this, Dave Hickerson drew the spotlight in X9XX with his 424 as they matched their opponent in wins. Unstoppabowl leaves the gate in 4th place, while X9XX begins in 7th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Guttersluts kept stealing sips of beer from Churn and Burn. Highlighting the skills of John Boren with his 518 series, Guttersluts collected 2.5 wins against Churn and Burn. On the other half of the score sheet, Jason Carpio oversaw Churn and Burn with his 502 despite his team losing the matchup with only 1.5 victories. Guttersluts begins the season in 3rd place, while Churn and Burn commences the season with 8th.
Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: King Pins took turns kicking the ball return with Frickin' Ten Pin. In spite of the prowess of Daniel Bolton with his 376 series, King Pins accomplished only 1 win against Ten Pin. On the adjacent lane, #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Carl Goetz showed off in Ten Pin with his 595 as his team took the series with 3 wins. King Pins 9th place, while Ten Pin 2nd.
