The Spring 2007 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder landed this week's high game for the women with a 170, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 465. As for the men, Carl Goetz snagged this week's high game with a 234, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz and Pat Searcy, who tied with a 595. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Oily Balls matched wits with T.B.D.. Showcasing Pat Searcy with his 595 series, Oily Balls celebrated a clean sweep over T.B.D.. Concurrently, Steve Kiernan laid down the law in T.B.D. with his 528 despite his team getting swept. Oily Balls leaves the gate in 1st place, while T.B.D. begins in 10th.
On lanes 17 & 18: Doll's Balls couldn't stop inappropriately groping Those 4 Bowlers. Demonstrating the prowess of Ryan Doll with his 487 series, Doll's Balls split the series with 4 Bowlers. On the adjacent lane, Seth Gunderson dominated 4 Bowlers with his 470 as they matched their opponent in wins. Doll's Balls starts out in 5th place, while 4 Bowlers get rolling in 6th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Unstoppabowl entered a showdown to the death with X9XX. Led by #1 Head-to-Head Cory Chorpenning and his 584 series, Unstoppabowl split the series with X9XX. In the meantime, Dave Hickerson drew the spotlight in X9XX with his 424 as they matched their opponent in wins. Unstoppabowl begins the season in 4th place, while X9XX starts off with 7th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Guttersluts shared a few beers with Churn and Burn. Headlined by John Boren with his 518 series, Guttersluts collected 2.5 wins against Churn and Burn. In the midst of this, Jason Carpio reigned supreme in Churn and Burn with his 502 despite his team losing the matchup with only 1.5 victories. Guttersluts gets underway in 3rd place, while Churn and Burn commences the season with 8th.
Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: King Pins chucked gutter balls with Frickin' Ten Pin. Though featuring Daniel Bolton with his 376 series, King Pins accomplished only 1 win against Ten Pin. On the other side, #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Carl Goetz ruled Ten Pin with his 595 as his team took the series with 3 wins. King Pins 9th place, while Ten Pin 2nd.
