The seventh week of Fall 2008 saw three teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (222) and series (528) for the women. As for the men, Carl Goetz snagged this week's high game with a 243, and high series was earned by Ryan Doll with a 603. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Dios Mios spent some quality time with Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty. Even though highlighted by the skills of Bill Krejci with his 521 series, Dios Mios got swept by Spare The Rod. Across the ball return, Will Jeter oversaw Spare The Rod with his above-average 507 as they swept the competition. Dios Mios plummet 2 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while Spare The Rod remains in 4th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Is This Billable? kept grabbing the balls of Dave and the Wingers. Demonstrating the prowess of #1 Head-to-Head Ryan Doll and his above-average 603 series, Is This Billable? collected 3 wins against the Wingers. Conversely, Rob Kaszuba took the lead in the Wingers with his 422 despite his team notching only a single win. Is This Billable? remains in 8th place, while the Wingers remain in 10th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Bad Newz Kennels took turns kicking the ball return with Livin' On A Spare. With top billing by Freda Schroeder with her stunning 528 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Aubrey Moren, the Kennels collected 3 wins against Livin' On A Spare. Meanwhile, Lindsay Jamis ruled Livin' On A Spare with her above-average 369 despite her team notching only a single win. Bad Newz Kennels leap 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Livin' On A Spare sinks 1 spot to 6th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Bowl Movement traded lane malfunctions with Chico's Bail Bonds. Though featuring Patty Morrisey with her above-average 375 series, Bowl Movement accomplished only 1 win against Chico's. In the meantime, #1 Power-Ranked Carl Goetz dominated Chico's with his miraculous 588 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowl Movement remains in 7th place, while Chico's move 1 spot to 2nd.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Ain't No Sh!t celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with WWJB. Headlined by Cory Chorpenning with his below-average 548 series, Ain't No Sh!t celebrated a clean sweep over WWJB. On the flipside, Eric Summers showed off in WWJB with his 360 despite his team getting swept. Ain't No Sh!t leaps 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while WWJB remains in 9th.
Bowlers getting the VIP treatment in The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (243,220), Cory Chorpenning (208), Freda Schroeder (222), Jason Carpio (200), Ken M. Wilson (203), Kendall Kukowski (203), and Ryan Doll (201,235)
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Ryan Doll came closest), while Aubrey Moren vanquished Division 2. Rob Kaszuba made quick work of Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Amanda Zahnweh came closest). Finally, Will Jeter (Division 1) trounced this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Will Jeter calls the shots for Division 1; David Parre runs the show in Division 2; Rob Kaszuba reigns over Division 3; and Amanda Zahnweh leads Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 19&20, 2nd-place Chico's Bail Bonds will test their mettle against 10th-place Dave and the Wingers (hcp 118). Chico's are expected to perform well and sweep the series; while the Wingers are forecast to raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 9th-place WWJB (hcp 116) will hang out with 5th-place Bad Newz Kennels. WWJB might perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while the Kennels ought to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 3rd-place Dios Mios will socialize with 7th-place Bowl Movement (hcp 69). Dios Mios will likely maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Bowl Movement will probably hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
- Next up, on lanes 25&26, 1st-place Ain't No Sh!t will challenge 4th-place Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty (hcp 166). Ain't No Sh!t might roll a little low and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Spare The Rod ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 8th-place Is This Billable? will roll against 6th-place Livin' On A Spare (hcp 66). Is This Billable? is predicted to maintain their current strength as they just barely miss getting swept; while Livin' On A Spare is anticipated to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
