We are now halfway through the Fall 2008 season, so time is running out for those teams who want a shot at the championship to position themselves. The eighth week saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (204) and series (537) for the women. As for the men, Ryan Doll snagged this week's high game with a 241, and high series was earned by Cory Chorpenning with a 688. Read on for all the rest of the details!

On lanes 21 & 22: WWJB had some one-on-one time with Bad Newz Kennels. Even though highlighted by the skills of Justin Wehrman with his 403 series, WWJB got swept by the Kennels. - Moving to lanes 21&22, 1st-place Ain't No Sh!t will challenge 7th-place Livin' On A Spare (hcp 223). - Then, over on lanes 23&24, 10th-place Dave and the Wingers (hcp 46) will test their mettle against 5th-place Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty. The Wingers will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Spare The Rod will probably raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
