Week 10 RoboRecap

Posted by BowlingBot November 9, 2021 Fall 2021, Week 10 View Score Sheets

Week 10 RoboHeaderThe tenth week of Fall 2021 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (116) and series (329) for the women. As for the men, Carl Goetz snagged this week's high game with a 231, and high series was earned by Dennis Walling with a 602. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: In a battle of good against evil, the bad guys of Shephus Cripes alternated between bowling and dry humping the good guys The Heavy Pins. Highlighting the skills of Carl Goetz with his above-average 595 series, Shephus collected 3 wins against Heavy P. Conversely, #1 Power-Ranked Kent Harms and his stupendous 536 series reigned supreme within Heavy P despite his team notching only a single win. Shephus Cripes climb 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Heavy P remains in 5th.

week10On lanes 3 & 4: Bowlie Guacamole hoped to be able to outperform Kenny Fan Club. Although receiving some motivation from Dustin Schmeltz with his 472 series, Guac accomplished only 1 win against Kenny. On the other lane, Jeremy Cline with his 554 series motivated Kenny as his team took the match with 3 wins. Bowlie Guacamole remains in 4th place, while Kenny remains in 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 5 & 6: Would You Rather... couldn't stop inappropriately groping Going Going Bald. Despite being led by AJ Hofmann with his above-average 501 series, Would You got swept by Baldness. On the other half of the score sheet, #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler Dennis Walling and his better-than-normal 602 series emboldened Baldness as they swept the competition. Would You Rather... drops 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Baldness remain in 1st.

Bowlers who sneaked in through the employee entrance of The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (231), Dennis Walling (201,222), Dustin Schmeltz (200), Jeremy Cline (222), and Kent Harms (203)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about Division 1 as it was a complete embarassment, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about Division 2 as it was a complete embarassment. Chris Windham cleaned up Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Brandon Martinez came closest). In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz is in the driver's seat in Division 1; James Tott dominates Division 2; Kent Harms governs Division 3; and Brandon Martinez runs the show in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 1&2, 3rd-place Would You Rather... will hang out with 4th-place Bowlie Guacamole (hcp 71). Would You is expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Guac is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 3&4, 1st-place Going Going Bald will face 5th-place The Heavy Pins (hcp 115). Baldness might maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Heavy P ought to drop their average a bit while they endure a rough night.
  • Finally, on lanes 5&6, 2nd-place Shephus Cripes will challenge 6th-place Kenny Fan Club (hcp 103). Shephus are predicted to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Kenny is anticipated to hold steady as they endure a rough night.

*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)

  FROM THE GUTTER (GUTTER QUOTE)
"The fake investigation led by Matthew Taylor claiming collusion with Wabash League finds nothing as usual. Meanwhile Crooked Emily's toe went over the line and she didn't mark if foul. Where is the investigation into that?"

JoAnne Trump, twitting twitfully.
