A Split-It First?

Posted by ScooterJ August 23, 2016 Fall 2016, Week 1 View Score Sheets

For what could very well be the first time ever in their 9-season history, Split It & Hit It is in first place! How did it come to this? Read on to find out...

First up, on the largely defective lanes 7 & 8: Vote JV HoF 2016 mounted a campaign against W.A.Q.P.T.G.B.T.E!. Led by John Boren and his 626 series, Vote JV HoF 2016 secured 3 wins against the human acronyms. Meanwhile, led by rookie Landon Cline and his 542 series, W.A.Q.P.T.G.B.T.E! could only secure 1 win. Vote JV HoF 2016 begins the season in 4th place, while W.A.Q.P.T.G.B.T.E! begins in 5th.

On lanes 9 & 10: Holy Sandbaggers, Batman! spent a romantic evening with Team 4. Led by Aubrey Moren and his 640 series, Holy Sandbaggers, Batman! bagged 3 wins against Team 4. Aaron Barber and his 563 series could only trim up 1 win for Team 4. Holy Sandbaggers, Batman! starts out in 2nd place, while Team 4 plans to climb quickly out of 6th.

On lanes 11 & 12: Partial-team Terra Bowl took turns kicking the ball return with Stephen Hawking's Fight Club. Led by Jake Parrott and his 381 series, Terra Bowl managed only 1 win against Stephen Hawking's Fight Club. Meanwhile, led by a pre-bowling Matt O'Dell and his 525 series, Stephen Hawking's Fight Club secured 3 wins. Terra Bowl is at least better than the blind team 7th place, while Stephen Hawking's Fight Club fists its way to 3rd.

Finally, down on lanes 13 & 14: Split It & Hit It exchanged nervous glances with Ray & Stevie. Which, if you think about it, is a tricky thing to do with a blind team. Led by Dennis Blake and his 535 series, Split It & Hit It secured a clean sweep over Ray & Stevie. Split It & Hit It starts out in 1st place and fully intends to remain there all season. Suck it, Seth!

This week in Tournament of Champions, nothing really happened yet because it doesn't start until 9/13. :)

Bowlers starting the season in The 200 Club this week include: Aaron Barber (234), Aubrey Moren (235,213), Carl Goetz (202), and John Boren (245)

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THOSE WHO NEED TO PRE-BOWL OR POST-BOWL: Due to a lack of Monday night leagues, the bowling alley is closing at 7pm on Mondays this season. Please keep this in mind when scheduling make-up games.

We are still working very hard to kick Ray & Stevie out of the league. If anyone knows of anyone who can bowl this season, please let Scoot know!

See you next week!
