The tenth week of Spring 2010 saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (182) and series (505) for the women. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson snagged this week's high game with a 248, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 619. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 25 & 26: 3 Pin Moon deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. Although blessed by Ryan Doll with his above-average 593 series, 3 Pin Moon got swept by the Schlitz. While that was going down, Bob Brunker dominated the Schlitz with his below-average 509 as they swept the competition. 3 Pin Moon plummets 2 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while the Schlitz moves 1 spot to 1st.
On lanes 27 & 28: Empire Strikes Back kept grabbing the balls of No Pinheads. Topped by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz and his above-average 619 series, the Empire celebrated a clean sweep over the Pinheads. On the other half of the score sheet, Phil Schroeder ruled the Pinheads with his 474 despite his team getting swept. Empire Strikes Back leaps 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while the Pinheads remain in 4th.
On lanes 29 & 30: Bowlumpkin took turns kicking the ball return with Lil' Devils. Headlined by Orion Kinkaid with his 409 series, Bowlumpkin split the series with Lil' Devils. On the other side, Janelle (Laube) Lamar took the lead in Lil' Devils with her 402 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bowlumpkin remains in 5th place, while Lil' Devils remain in 6th.
Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: Little Lebowski Urban Achievers traded lane malfunctions with The Prak Attack. Though featuring Jason Carpio with his 527 series, the Urban Achievers accomplished only 1 win against the Attack. Countering this, Shane Pfaffly oversaw the Attack with his below-average 399 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Lawrence Prak) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Little Lebowski Urban Achievers remains in 8th place, while the Attack remains in 7th.

A new personal high game was set tonight by Sarah Sauer (175, previous best 174).
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ryan Doll mopped up Division 1, while Rob Kaszuba eradicated Division 2. Shane Pfaffly rolled his ass to the top of Division 3, and Lawrence Prak dominated Division 4. In terms of overall points: Bob Brunker tops Division 1; Brett Schroeder governs Division 2; Shane Pfaffly calls the shots for Division 3; and Lawrence Prak is in the driver's seat in Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 25&26, 6th-place Lil' Devils (hcp 125) will chill with 4th-place No Pinheads. Lil' Devils are expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while the Pinheads are forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Moving to lanes 27&28, 3rd-place 3 Pin Moon will battle 8th-place Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (hcp 153). 3 Pin Moon might roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while the Urban Achievers ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 29&30, 2nd-place Empire Strikes Back will hang out with 7th-place The Prak Attack (hcp 179). The Empire will likely maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Attack will probably hold steady as they endure a rough night.
- Finally, on lanes 31&32, 5th-place Bowlumpkin (hcp 76) will throw some gutter balls with 1st-place Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. Bowlumpkin is predicted to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Schlitz is anticipated to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
