First up, on lanes 25 & 26: Lil' Devils chucked gutter balls with No Pinheads. Highlighting the skills of Most Valuable Bowler Janelle (Laube) Lamar and her breathtaking 500 series, Lil' Devils celebrated a clean sweep over the Pinheads. In the meantime, Freda Schroeder oversaw the Pinheads with her 494 despite her team getting swept. Lil' Devils leap 2 spots in the standings to 4th place, while the Pinheads plunge 2 spots to 6th.

On lanes 27 & 28: 3 Pin Moon sparred with Little Lebowski Urban Achievers. Notwithstanding the leadership of Rob Kaszuba with his 475 series, 3 Pin Moon got swept by the Urban Achievers. On the other half of the score sheet, Jim Flath called the shots for the Urban Achievers with his above-average 436 as they swept the competition. 3 Pin Moon remains in 3rd place, while the Urban Achievers remain in 8th.

On lanes 29 & 30: Empire Strikes Back spent a romantic evening with The Prak Attack. Blessed by Ken M. Wilson with his above-average 616 series, the Empire split the series with the Attack. While that was going down, Joe Longstreet commanded the Attack with his marvelous 429 as they matched their opponent in wins. Empire Strikes Back remains in 2nd place, while the Attack remains in 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: Bowlumpkin had a rendezvous with Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. Though reinforced by Jason Carpio with his above-average 574 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Janelle Laube, Bowlumpkin accomplished only 1 win against the Schlitz. Across the ball return, Scott Murdock showed off in the Schlitz with his above-average 538 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlumpkin remains in 5th place, while the Schlitz remains in 1st.

On lanes 27 & 28: Empire Strikes Back traded lane malfunctions with No Pinheads. Highlighting the skills of #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz and his above-average 619 series, the Empire celebrated a clean sweep over the Pinheads. In the midst of this, Phil Schroeder drew the spotlight in the Pinheads with his 474 despite his team getting swept. By now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Spring 2010 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. The seventh week saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (191) and series (534) for the women. As for the men, Ryan Doll snagged this week's high game with a 252, and high series was earned by Bob Brunker with a 622. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 25 & 26: Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz had a delightful time with Lil' Devils. Featuring #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Bob Brunker and his thrilling 622 series, the Schlitz celebrated a clean sweep over Lil' Devils. While that was going down, Janelle (Laube) Lamar laid down the law in Lil' Devils with her 380 despite her team getting swept. Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz remains in 3rd place, while Lil' Devils plunge 2 spots to 7th.

On lanes 27 & 28: Little Lebowski Urban Achievers hung out with Empire Strikes Back. Even though highlighted by the skills of Sarah Sauer with her 426 series, the Urban Achievers got swept by the Empire. Concurrently, Carl Goetz took the lead in the Empire with his 593 as they swept the competition. Little Lebowski Urban Achievers drop 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while the Empire remains in 4th.

On lanes 29 & 30: The Prak Attack celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with 3 Pin Moon. Starring Most Valuable Bowler Bill Riley and his amazing 429 series, the Attack collected 3 wins against 3 Pin Moon. Conversely, Ryan Doll dominated 3 Pin Moon with his above-average 603 despite his team notching only a single win. The Prak Attack leaps 3 spots in the standings to 5th place, while 3 Pin Moon sinks 1 spot to 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: No Pinheads deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Bowlumpkin. Topped by Freda Schroeder with her 534 series, the Pinheads missed a clean sweep over Bowlumpkin by just one pin.On the flipside, Dave Winger shined in Bowlumpkin with his fantastic 513 as his team missed getting swept by just one pin. No Pinheads leap 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while Bowlumpkin remains in 6th.

Bowlers who lied to their significant other claiming bowling was running long then went out for after-bowling drinks at The 200 Club include: Bob Brunker (217,222), Carl Goetz (203,203), Dennis Laube (211), Ken M. Wilson (205), Ryan Doll (252), and Scott Murdock (201)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Dave Winger (192, previous best 189). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Bob Brunker (622, previous best 616) and Dave Winger (513, previous best 512).

Adding to the excitement, the 252 rolled by Ryan Doll is this season's new high game for men.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Bob Brunker clobbered Division 1, while Scott Murdock ruled Division 2. Dave Winger trounced Division 3, and Lawrence Prak mopped up Division 4. In terms of overall points: Bob Brunker tops Division 1; Scott Murdock is in the driver's seat in Division 2; Greg Shelton governs Division 3; and Bill Riley holds the reins in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 25&26, 1st-place No Pinheads will compete against 2nd-place 3 Pin Moon (hcp 6). The Pinheads are expected to roll a little low and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while 3 Pin Moon is forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
• Moving to lanes 27&28, 3rd-place Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz (hcp 56) will chill with 4th-place Empire Strikes Back. The Schlitz might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Empire ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
• Then, over on lanes 29&30, 5th-place The Prak Attack (hcp 34) will face 6th-place Bowlumpkin. The Attack will likely roll decently, yet still manage to get swept; while Bowlumpkin will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
• Finally, on lanes 31&32, 7th-place Lil' Devils will hang out with 8th-place Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (hcp 8). Lil' Devils are predicted to perform well and win the series; while the Urban Achievers are anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
