Fall 2004 Week 9 Robo-RecapThe ninth week of Fall 2004 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (193) and series (541) for the women, while Bill Krejci earned this week's high game (267) and series (595) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Paul Hamms took turns kicking the ball return with Die Schlag-Maschinen. Blessed by Bill Krejci with his above-average 595 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Mark McClendon, the Hamms celebrated a clean sweep over Die Schlag-Maschinen. Conversely, Amanda Schulte called the shots for Die Schlag-Maschinen with her miraculous 425 despite her team getting swept. Paul Hamms leap 2 spots in the standings to 2nd place, while Die Schlag-Maschinen remains in 8th.

This was done rather often this week by people we wouldn't normally expect. On lanes 21 & 22: Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers traded lane malfunctions with Ashley Razabacks. Regardless of the star power of Dennis Laube with his below-average 446 series, the Ninjas accomplished only 1 win against the Razabacks. Concurrently, Stefan Paz oversaw the Razabacks with his 462 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers remains in 7th place, while the Razabacks remain in 1st.

On lanes 23 & 24: A Solid No. 2 shared a few beers with Recreation Intoxication. Headlined by Corey Weinfurt with his 513 series, with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Andee Weinfurt, No. 2 collected 3 wins against Recreation . While that was going down, Bob Brunker shined in Recreation with his 542 (with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler ) despite his team notching only a single win. A Solid No. 2 leaps 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Recreation plunges 2 spots to 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Bowlkake alternated splits with The Belt Strikes Back. In spite of top-billing by Justin Strelow with his above-average 558 series, Bowlkake accomplished only 1 win against the Belt. Across the ball return, Demond Robinson commanded the Belt with his above-average 572 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlkake drops 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while the Belt remains in 3rd.

Bowlers ducking past the bouncer at The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (267), Bob Brunker (203), Demond Robinson (211), Ken M. Wilson (224), and Nik Domann (246)

New personal high games were set tonight by Nik Domann (246, previous best 213) and Bill Krejci (267, previous best 236). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Bill Krejci (595, previous best 592) and Andee Weinfurt (490, previous best 464).

Angela Bradford claimed the season's women's high series with her 541. In addition, Bill Krejci nabbed this season's men's high game with his 267.

The 267 rolled by Bill Krejci is the new 2nd-best game in league history!
The 541 rolled by Angela Bradford is the new 10th-best women's series in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Bill Krejci conquered Division 1, while Jason Carpio creamed Division 2. Amanda Schulte decimated Division 3, and Ray Haynes creamed Division 4. In terms of overall points: Pat Searcy holds the reins in Division 1; Jason Carpio calls the shots Division 2; Mike Killion, Janelle (Laube) Lamar, and Amanda Schulte lead Division 3 in a tie; and Ray Haynes runs the show in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 3rd-place The Belt Strikes Back (hcp 14) will chill with 4th-place Recreation Intoxication. The Belt is expected to perform well and sweep the series; while Recreation is forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 6th-place Bowlkake will challenge 5th-place A Solid No. 2 (estimated hcp 68). Bowlkake might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while No. 2 ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 2nd-place Paul Hamms will compete against 7th-place Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers (hcp 12). The Hamms will likely roll decently, but split the series with the Ninjas; while the Ninjas will probably raise their average while they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 8th-place Die Schlag-Maschinen (hcp 70) will battle 1st-place Ashley Razabacks. Die Schlag-Maschinen is predicted to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Razabacks are anticipated to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)

On the flipside, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Nik Domann reigned supreme in the Belt with his above-average 565 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Recreation Intoxication drops 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while the Belt sinks 1 spot to 3rd.

week8On lanes 21 & 22: Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers accepted a challenge by Paul Hamms. In spite of top-billing by Dennis Laube with his 492 series, the Ninjas accomplished only 1 win against the Hamms. Countering this, Bill Krejci took the lead in the Hamms with his 550 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Mark McClendon) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers plummet 4 spots in the standings to 7th place, while the Hamms remain in 4th.

Meanwhile, Corey Weinfurt ruled No. 2 with his above-average 559 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bowlkake remains in 5th place, while No. 2 remains in 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Die Schlag-Maschinen kept grabbing the balls of Ashley Razabacks. In spite of the prowess of Amanda Schulte with her above-average 374 series, Die Schlag-Maschinen accomplished only 1 win against the Razabacks. Fall 2004 Week 7 Robo-RecapBy now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Fall 2004 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. The seventh week saw one team climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (163) and series (466) for the women, while James Long earned this week's high game (239) and series (598) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Recreation Intoxication had some one-on-one time with Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers. Starring Pat Searcy with his above-average 597 series, Recreation collected 3 wins against the Ninjas. In the meantime, Dennis Laube dominated the Ninjas with his below-average 447 despite his team notching only a single win. Recreation Intoxication remains in 1st place, while the Ninjas sink 1 spot to 3rd.

week7On lanes 21 & 22: Die Schlag-Maschinen took turns kicking the ball return with Bowlkake. Despite the strength of Mike Killion with his breathtaking 403 series, Die Schlag-Maschinen accomplished only 1 win against Bowlkake. Meanwhile, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) James Long showed off in Bowlkake with his dramatic 598 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Die Schlag-Maschinen remains in 7th place, while Bowlkake sinks 1 spot to 5th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Ashley Razabacks sparred with The Belt Strikes Back. With the Razabacks forfeiting, all the Belt needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. In their battle to get within at least 40 pins of average, Nik Domann laid down the law in the Belt with his above-average 535 as they swept the competition. Ashley Razabacks remains in 8th place, while the Belt jumps 4 spots to 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: A Solid No. 2 kept stealing sips of beer from Paul Hamms. Blessed by Eric Lynch with his 477 series, No. 2 collected 3 wins against the Hamms. On the adjacent lane, Bill Krejci commanded the Hamms with his 542 despite his team notching only a single win. A Solid No. 2 drops 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while the Hamms sink 1 spot to 4th.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place Recreation Intoxication will share a couple of pitchers with 2nd-place The Belt Strikes Back (hcp 23). Recreation is expected to perform well and win the series; while the Belt is forecast to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.

  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place Bowlkake will compete against 6th-place A Solid No. 2 (hcp 29). Bowlkake will likely have a bit of an off night and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while No. 2 will probably hold steady as they enjoy their victories.

Fall 2004 Week 6 Robo-RecapThe sixth week of Fall 2004 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (212) and series (512) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (246) and series (693) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: The Belt Strikes Back did battle with A Solid No. 2. Showcasing Demond Robinson with his above-average 542 series, the Belt split the series with No. 2. Simultaneously, Corey Weinfurt took the lead in No. 2 with his below-average 470 as they matched their opponent in wins. The Belt Strikes Back remains in 6th place, while No. 2 remains in 5th.

week6On lanes 21 & 22: Ashley Razabacks shared a platter of cheese sticks with Paul Hamms. With the Razabacks forfeiting, all the Hamms needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. However, that would not be the case. In their battle to get within at least 40 pins of average, Bill Krejci reigned supreme in the Hamms with his 520 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Ashley Razabacks remains in 8th place, while the Hamms remain in 3rd.

On lanes 23 & 24: Recreation Intoxication alternated between bowling and dry humping Bowlkake. • First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place Recreation Intoxication will share a couple of pitchers with 2nd-place Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers (hcp 90). Recreation is expected to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Ninjas are forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 7th-place Die Schlag-Maschinen (hcp 147) will meet with 4th-place Bowlkake. Die Schlag-Maschinen might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Bowlkake ought to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 8th-place Ashley Razabacks (hcp 497) will tussle with 6th-place The Belt Strikes Back. The Razabacks will likely see their averages fall off a cliff as they get swept; while the Belt will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 5th-place A Solid No. 2 will throw some gutter balls with 3rd-place Paul Hamms (hcp 53). No. 2 is predicted to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Hamms are anticipated to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
