The eleventh week of Fall 2003 saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Andee Weinfurt picked up this week's high game (187) and series (453) for the women, while Thomas Lin earned this week's high game (237) and series (646) for the men. First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Atomic Goo waged a heated competition against Bowlers of Mass Confusion. Notwithstanding the leadership of Phil Schroeder with his 415 series, Atomic Goo got swept by Mass Confusion. On the other side, Corey Weinfurt laid down the law in Mass Confusion with his above-average 497 as they swept the competition. Atomic Goo plummets 2 spots in the standings to 6th place, while Mass Confusion remains in 2nd.
On lanes 17 & 18: Gutter Minds matched wits with Theee Beeelt. While headlined by Pat Searcy with his 573 series, Gutter Minds got swept by Theee Beeelt. On the flipside, Nik Domann shined in Theee Beeelt with his below-average 422 as they swept the competition. Gutter Minds remains in 8th place, while Theee Beeelt moves 1 spot to 4th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Anchors Aweigh! couldn't stop inappropriately groping Bowl me Ishmael!. Led by Most Valuable Bowler Eric Lynch and his breathtaking 548 series, the Anchors split the series with Ishmael. Simultaneously, Michael Basham reigned supreme in Ishmael with his wondrous 463 as they matched their opponent in wins. Anchors Aweigh! remains in 1st place, while Ishmael remains in 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Spare Change spent some quality time with Wolverines. In spite of the prowess of Demond Robinson with his 518 series, Spare Change got swept by the Wolverines. As for the opposition, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Thomas Lin dominated the Wolverines with his staggering 646 as they swept the competition. Spare Change remains in 7th place, while the Wolverines move 1 spot to 5th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Thomas Lin (646, previous best 593). The 237 rolled by Thomas Lin is tied for the 8th-best men's game in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Eric Lynch claimed victory in Division 1, while Thomas Lin dominated Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Andee Weinfurt came closest), and Dennis Pruitt spanked Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz dominates Division 1; Pat Searcy is in the driver's seat in Division 2; Seth Gunderson tops Division 3; and Dennis Pruitt governs Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 15&16, 1st-place Anchors Aweigh! will face 7th-place Spare Change (hcp 68). The Anchors are expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Spare Change is forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Moving to lanes 17&18, 3rd-place Bowl me Ishmael! (hcp 76) will share a couple of pitchers with 5th-place Wolverines. Ishmael might perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while the Wolverines ought to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Then, over on lanes 19&20, 6th-place Atomic Goo (estimated hcp 97) will roll against 8th-place Gutter Minds. Atomic Goo will likely have a bit of an off night and get swept; while Gutter Minds will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Finally, on lanes 21&22, 2nd-place Bowlers of Mass Confusion will match wits with 4th-place Theee Beeelt (hcp 24). Mass Confusion is predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Theee Beeelt; while Theee Beeelt is anticipated to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
