The eleventh week of Fall 2003 saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Andee Weinfurt picked up this week's high game (187) and series (453) for the women, while Thomas Lin earned this week's high game (237) and series (646) for the men. First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Atomic Goo traded lane malfunctions with Bowlers of Mass Confusion. Despite being led by Phil Schroeder with his 415 series, Atomic Goo got swept by Mass Confusion. Simultaneously, Corey Weinfurt reigned supreme in Mass Confusion with his above-average 497 as they swept the competition. Atomic Goo plummets 2 spots in the standings to 6th place, while Mass Confusion remains in 2nd.
On lanes 17 & 18: Gutter Minds matched wits with Theee Beeelt. Despite the strength of Pat Searcy with his 573 series, Gutter Minds got swept by Theee Beeelt. Countering this, Nik Domann took the lead in Theee Beeelt with his below-average 422 as they swept the competition. Gutter Minds remains in 8th place, while Theee Beeelt moves 1 spot to 4th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Anchors Aweigh! hung out with Bowl me Ishmael!. Headlined by Most Valuable Bowler Eric Lynch and his breathtaking 548 series, the Anchors split the series with Ishmael. In the midst of this, Michael Basham dominated Ishmael with his stupendous 463 as they matched their opponent in wins. Anchors Aweigh! remains in 1st place, while Ishmael remains in 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Spare Change had some one-on-one time with Wolverines. In spite of top-billing by Demond Robinson with his 518 series, Spare Change got swept by the Wolverines. While that was going down, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Thomas Lin shined in the Wolverines with his outstanding 646 as they swept the competition. Spare Change remains in 7th place, while the Wolverines move 1 spot to 5th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Thomas Lin (646, previous best 593). The 237 rolled by Thomas Lin is tied for the 8th-best men's game in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Eric Lynch staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 1, while Thomas Lin rolled his ass to the top of Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Andee Weinfurt came closest), and Dennis Pruitt ruled Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz dominates Division 1; Pat Searcy leads Division 2; Seth Gunderson tops Division 3; and Dennis Pruitt governs Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 15&16, 1st-place Anchors Aweigh! will test their mettle against 7th-place Spare Change (hcp 68). The Anchors are expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Spare Change is forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Moving to lanes 17&18, 3rd-place Bowl me Ishmael! (hcp 76) will battle 5th-place Wolverines. Ishmael might perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while the Wolverines ought to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Then, over on lanes 19&20, 6th-place Atomic Goo (estimated hcp 97) will meet with 8th-place Gutter Minds. Atomic Goo will likely have a bit of an off night and get swept; while Gutter Minds will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Finally, on lanes 21&22, 2nd-place Bowlers of Mass Confusion will throw some gutter balls with 4th-place Theee Beeelt (hcp 24). Mass Confusion is predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Theee Beeelt; while Theee Beeelt is anticipated to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
