The eleventh week of Fall 2003 saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Andee Weinfurt picked up this week's high game (187) and series (453) for the women, while Thomas Lin earned this week's high game (237) and series (646) for the men. First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Atomic Goo hung out with Bowlers of Mass Confusion. Though reinforced by Phil Schroeder with his 415 series, Atomic Goo got swept by Mass Confusion. On the other half of the score sheet, Corey Weinfurt commanded Mass Confusion with his above-average 497 as they swept the competition. Atomic Goo plummets 2 spots in the standings to 6th place, while Mass Confusion remains in 2nd.
On lanes 17 & 18: Gutter Minds shared a few beers with Theee Beeelt. In spite of top-billing by Pat Searcy with his 573 series, Gutter Minds got swept by Theee Beeelt. Concurrently, Nik Domann drew the spotlight in Theee Beeelt with his below-average 422 as they swept the competition. Gutter Minds remains in 8th place, while Theee Beeelt moves 1 spot to 4th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Anchors Aweigh! chucked gutter balls with Bowl me Ishmael!. Starring Most Valuable Bowler Eric Lynch and his breathtaking 548 series, the Anchors split the series with Ishmael. While that was going down, Michael Basham shined in Ishmael with his stupendous 463 as they matched their opponent in wins. Anchors Aweigh! remains in 1st place, while Ishmael remains in 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Spare Change traded lane malfunctions with Wolverines. Though featuring Demond Robinson with his 518 series, Spare Change got swept by the Wolverines. Countering this, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Thomas Lin reigned supreme in the Wolverines with his outstanding 646 as they swept the competition. Spare Change remains in 7th place, while the Wolverines move 1 spot to 5th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Thomas Lin (646, previous best 593). The 237 rolled by Thomas Lin is tied for the 8th-best men's game in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Eric Lynch shut down Division 1, while Thomas Lin dominated Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Andee Weinfurt came closest), and Dennis Pruitt spanked Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz governs Division 1; Pat Searcy reigns over Division 2; Seth Gunderson calls the shots Division 3; and Dennis Pruitt runs the show in Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 15&16, 1st-place Anchors Aweigh! will hang out with 7th-place Spare Change (hcp 68). The Anchors are expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Spare Change is forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Moving to lanes 17&18, 3rd-place Bowl me Ishmael! (hcp 76) will share a couple of pitchers with 5th-place Wolverines. Ishmael might perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while the Wolverines ought to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Then, over on lanes 19&20, 6th-place Atomic Goo (estimated hcp 97) will spend some quality time with 8th-place Gutter Minds. Atomic Goo will likely have a bit of an off night and get swept; while Gutter Minds will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Finally, on lanes 21&22, 2nd-place Bowlers of Mass Confusion will throw some gutter balls with 4th-place Theee Beeelt (hcp 24). Mass Confusion is predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Theee Beeelt; while Theee Beeelt is anticipated to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
