Spring 2003 Week 12 Robo-RecapThe tweltfh week of Spring 2003 saw one team climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (160) and series (424) for the women. As for the men, David Codding snagged this week's high game with a 209, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 554. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 17 & 18: D-Day tussled with Spanked. Although blessed by Ken M. Wilson with his 499 series, D-Day accomplished only 1 win against Spanked. On the flipside, Thomas Lin mastered Spanked with his 518 as his team took the series with 3 wins. D-Day drops 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Spanked remains in 6th.

Jeremy Cline celebrates the passage of medical marijuana in Missouri.On lanes 19 & 20: Bowlers of Mass Destruction took turns kicking the ball return with Canned Crabs. Though reinforced by Justin Strelow with his above-average 485 series, Mass Destruction accomplished only 1 win against the Crabs. Countering this, Eric Lynch laid down the law in the Crabs with his above-average 509 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlers of Mass Destruction drops 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while the Crabs remain in 8th.

On lanes 21 & 22: Hulk Smash! shared a platter of cheese sticks with Top Guns. Highlighting the skills of Carl Goetz with his 554 series, with kudos to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Kevin Myers as well as #1 Head-to-Head , the Hulk collected 3 wins against Top Guns. In the midst of this, Pat Searcy dominated Top Guns with his 547 (with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler ) despite his team notching only a single win. Hulk Smash! remains in 7th place, while Top Guns remain in 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: When Push Comes To Shove accepted a challenge by The Good Sons. With the strength of David Codding with his 542 series, the Shovers collected 3 wins against the Sons. Simultaneously, Steve Robinson called the shots for the Sons with his 432 despite his team notching only a single win. When Push Comes To Shove leaps 2 spots in the standings to 1st place, while the Sons remain in 5th.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Demond Robinson crushed Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Ken M. Wilson came closest). Kevin Myers vanquished Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Michelle Tollefson came closest). In terms of overall points: Pat Searcy tops Division 1; Ken M. Spring 2003 Week 11 Robo-RecapThe eleventh week of Spring 2003 saw one team climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Three bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Marca Robinson picked up this week's high game (140) and series (383) for the women. As for the men, Carl Goetz snagged this week's high game with a 217, and high series was earned by Jarrod Guthrie with a 604. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Hulk Smash! celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with When Push Comes To Shove. Although blessed by Carl Goetz with his 567 series, the Hulk accomplished only 1 win against the Shovers. On the adjacent lane, David Parre drew the spotlight in the Shovers with his 519 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Hulk Smash! drops 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while the Shovers remain in 3rd.

week11On lanes 19 & 20: Top Guns chucked gutter balls with The Good Sons. In spite of top-billing by Pat Searcy with his 566 series, Top Guns accomplished only 1 win against the Sons. Simultaneously, Steve Robinson laid down the law in the Sons with his marvelous 492 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Top Guns remains in 4th place, while the Sons remain in 5th.

On lanes 21 & 22: D-Day waged a heated competition against Bowlers of Mass Destruction. Demonstrating the prowess of Most Valuable Bowler Scott Murdock and his remarkable 513 series, D-Day split the series with Mass Destruction. Conversely, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Jarrod Guthrie ruled Mass Destruction with his phenomenal 604 as they matched their opponent in wins. D-Day remains in 1st place, while Mass Destruction remains in 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Spanked couldn't stop inappropriately groping Canned Crabs. Headlined by Jim Jones with his astonishing 530 series, Spanked collected 3 wins against the Crabs. On the other side, Eric Lynch guided the Crabs with his below-average 451 despite his team notching only a single win. Spanked leaps 2 spots in the standings to 6th place, while the Crabs sink 1 spot to 8th.

A new personal high game was set tonight by Jim Jones (213, previous best 186). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Scott Murdock (513, previous best 479), Jim Jones (530, previous best 501), and Jarrod Guthrie (604, previous best 527).

The 604 rolled by Jarrod Guthrie is the new 6th-best series in league history!


In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Pat Searcy came closest), while Jim Jones walloped Division 2. First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Top Guns celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Canned Crabs. Although blessed by Pat Searcy with his above-average 589 series, Top Guns accomplished only 1 win against the Crabs. On the other side, Eric Lynch commanded the Crabs with his below-average 461 (along with kudos to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Ray Haynes, as well as #1 Head-to-Head ) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Top Guns drop 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while the Crabs remain in 7th.
