The ninth week of Spring 2003 saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Michelle Tollefson landed this week's high game for the women with a 160, and women's high series was bagged by Janelle (Laube) Lamar with a 414. As for the men, Thomas Lin snagged this week's high game with a 240, and high series was earned by Pat Searcy with a 598. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Spanked traded lane malfunctions with The Good Sons. Blessed by #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Thomas Lin and his powerful 563 series, Spanked collected 3 wins against the Sons. As for the opposition, Steve Robinson laid down the law in the Sons with his stupendous 468 despite his team notching only a single win. Spanked remains in 8th place, while the Sons sink 1 spot to 6th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Hulk Smash! couldn't stop inappropriately groping Bowlers of Mass Destruction. Starring Carl Goetz with his below-average 518 series, the Hulk collected 3 wins against Mass Destruction. In the meantime, Justin Strelow called the shots for Mass Destruction with his 452 despite his team notching only a single win. Hulk Smash! leaps 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Mass Destruction sinks 1 spot to 2nd.

On lanes 21 & 22: When Push Comes To Shove had a delightful time with Canned Crabs. Led by David Parre with his 519 series, the Shovers collected 3 wins against the Crabs. Meanwhile, Eric Lynch showed off in the Crabs with his below-average 462 despite his team notching only a single win. When Push Comes To Shove remains in 4th place, while the Crabs remain in 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: D-Day sparred with Top Guns. Demonstrating the prowess of #1 Head-to-Head Ken M. Wilson and his above-average 558 series, D-Day celebrated a clean sweep over Top Guns. Simultaneously, Pat Searcy guided Top Guns with his above-average 598 despite his team getting swept. D-Day leaps 2 spots in the standings to 1st place, while Top Guns sink 1 spot to 3rd.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Demond Robinson claimed victory in Division 1, while Ken M. Wilson made quick work of Division 2. Shannon Myers triumphed over her enemies in Division 3, and Marca Robinson conquered Division 4. In terms of overall points: Pat Searcy reigns over Division 1; Ken M. Wilson leads Division 2; Shannon Myers is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Marca Robinson tops Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 17&18, 3rd-place Top Guns will share a couple of pitchers with 7th-place Canned Crabs (hcp 137). Top Guns are expected to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Crabs are forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
• Moving to lanes 19&20, 1st-place D-Day (hcp 25) will compete against 4th-place When Push Comes To Shove. D-Day might perform well and win the series; while the Shovers ought to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
• Then, over on lanes 21&22, 8th-place Spanked will challenge 5th-place Hulk Smash! (hcp 55). Spanked will likely roll decently, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Hulk will probably raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
