The Spring 2003 season draws to a close, with D-Day officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw four teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (165) and series (443) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (214) and series (542) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Bowlers of Mass Destruction sparred with D-Day. Despite the strength of Justin Strelow with his above-average 495 series, Mass Destruction managed only 1.5 wins against D-Day. On the other side, Demond Robinson oversaw D-Day with his above-average 515 as his team took the series with 2.5 wins. Bowlers of Mass Destruction drops 1 spot in the standings to end in 2nd place, while D-Day moves 1 spot to come out in 1st.
On lanes 19 & 20: Top Guns shared a few beers with When Push Comes To Shove. In spite of the prowess of Pat Searcy with his 542 series, Top Guns accomplished only 1 win against the Shovers. Countering this, David Codding called the shots for the Shovers with his 539 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Top Guns drop 1 spot in the standings to complete in 4th place, while the Shovers move 1 spot to go home with 3rd.
On lanes 21 & 22: Canned Crabs took turns kicking the ball return with The Good Sons. While headlined by Eric Lynch with his below-average 441 series, the Crabs accomplished only 1 win against the Sons. On the flipside, Michelle Tollefson laid down the law in the Sons with her above-average 392 as her team took the series with 3 wins. Canned Crabs plummet 2 spots in the standings to end the season in 7th place, while the Sons move 1 spot to cross the finish line in 5th.
Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Hulk Smash! chucked gutter balls with Spanked. In spite of top-billing by Carl Goetz with his below-average 509 series, the Hulk got swept by Spanked. In the meantime, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Bill Krejci mastered Spanked with his above-average 541 as they swept the competition. Hulk Smash! drops 1 spot in the standings to finish in 8th place, while Spanked jumps 2 spots to end up with 6th.

After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Marca Robinson (Division 4),
with Jim Jones (Division 2) landing in second place. Marca will pocket the nice first-place pot,
