The Spring 2003 season draws to a close, with D-Day officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw four teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (165) and series (443) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (214) and series (542) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Bowlers of Mass Destruction kept grabbing the balls of D-Day. Regardless of the star power of Justin Strelow with his above-average 495 series, Mass Destruction managed only 1.5 wins against D-Day. On the other half of the score sheet, Demond Robinson commanded D-Day with his above-average 515 as his team took the series with 2.5 wins. Bowlers of Mass Destruction drops 1 spot in the standings to end the season in 2nd place, while D-Day moves 1 spot to wind up in 1st.
On lanes 19 & 20: Top Guns deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of When Push Comes To Shove. Despite being led by Pat Searcy with his 542 series, Top Guns accomplished only 1 win against the Shovers. Countering this, David Codding oversaw the Shovers with his 539 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Top Guns drop 1 spot in the standings to close out in 4th place, while the Shovers move 1 spot to cross the finish line in 3rd.
On lanes 21 & 22: Canned Crabs traded lane malfunctions with The Good Sons. Though reinforced by Eric Lynch with his below-average 441 series, the Crabs accomplished only 1 win against the Sons. In the midst of this, Michelle Tollefson guided the Sons with her above-average 392 as her team took the series with 3 wins. Canned Crabs plummet 2 spots in the standings to finish in 7th place, while the Sons move 1 spot to end up with 5th.
Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Hulk Smash! had a rendezvous with Spanked. Although blessed by Carl Goetz with his below-average 509 series, the Hulk got swept by Spanked. On the flipside, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Bill Krejci dominated Spanked with his above-average 541 as they swept the competition. Hulk Smash! drops 1 spot in the standings to end in 8th place, while Spanked jumps 2 spots to go home with 6th.

After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Marca Robinson (Division 4),
with Jim Jones (Division 2) landing in second place. Marca will pocket the nice first-place pot,
