The sixth week of Fall 2004 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (212) and series (512) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (246) and series (693) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: The Belt Strikes Back entered a showdown to the death with A Solid No. 2. With the strength of Demond Robinson with his above-average 542 series, the Belt split the series with No. 2. As for the opposition, Corey Weinfurt laid down the law in No. 2 with his below-average 470 as they matched their opponent in wins. The Belt Strikes Back remains in 6th place, while No. 2 remains in 5th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Ashley Razabacks hung out with Paul Hamms. With the Razabacks forfeiting, all the Hamms needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. However, that would not be the case. In their battle to get within at least 40 pins of average, Bill Krejci ruled the Hamms with his 520 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Ashley Razabacks remains in 8th place, while the Hamms remain in 3rd.
On lanes 23 & 24: Recreation Intoxication kept stealing sips of beer from Bowlkake. Showcasing trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Pat Searcy and his splendid 693 series, Recreation collected 3 wins against Bowlkake. On the other half of the score sheet, Ken M. Wilson dominated Bowlkake with his above-average 599 despite his team notching only a single win. Recreation Intoxication leaps 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while Bowlkake remains in 4th.
Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Die Schlag-Maschinen matched wits with Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers. Highlighting the skills of Jerry Krall with his above-average 423 series, Die Schlag-Maschinen celebrated a clean sweep over the Ninjas. In the meantime, Dennis Laube reigned supreme in the Ninjas with his 494 despite his team getting swept. Die Schlag-Maschinen remains in 7th place, while the Ninjas sink 1 spot to 2nd.
Bowlers slipping under the velvet rope in front of The 200 Club include: Angela Bradford (212), Bill Krejci (208), Demond Robinson (223), James Long (206), Justin Strelow (233), Ken M. Wilson (224), Mark McClendon (201), and Pat Searcy (220,227,246)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Pat Searcy (693, previous best 681). Pat Searcy nabbed both high game and series for the men this season with his 246 and 693, respectively.
The 212 rolled by Angela Bradford is tied for the 8th-best women's game in league history!
The 246 rolled by Pat Searcy is tied for the 6th-best game in league history!
The 693 rolled by Pat Searcy is tied for the 3rd-best series in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Pat Searcy mopped up Division 1, while Jerry Krall creamed Division 2. Mark McClendon crushed Division 3, and Barbara Killion clobbered Division 4. In terms of overall points: Dennis Laube holds the reins in Division 1; Nik Domann leads Division 2; Deena Slinkard dominates Division 3; and Barbara Killion is in the driver's seat in Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place Recreation Intoxication will spend some quality time with 2nd-place Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers (hcp 90). Recreation is expected to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Ninjas are forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 7th-place Die Schlag-Maschinen (hcp 147) will socialize with 4th-place Bowlkake. Die Schlag-Maschinen might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Bowlkake ought to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 8th-place Ashley Razabacks (hcp 497) will share a couple of pitchers with 6th-place The Belt Strikes Back. The Razabacks will likely have the bottom drop out of their averages as they get swept; while the Belt will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Finally, on lanes 25&26, 5th-place A Solid No. 2 will chuck some balls with 3rd-place Paul Hamms (hcp 53). No. 2 is predicted to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Hamms are anticipated to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
