Fall 2004 Week 13 Robo-RecapThe thirteenth week of Fall 2004 saw one team climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (200) and series (511) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (225) and series (652) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: A Solid No. 2 accepted a challenge by Ashley Razabacks. Led by Corey Weinfurt with his above-average 534 series, No. 2 split the series with the Razabacks. Concurrently, Rich DeYoung ruled the Razabacks with his staggering 532 as they matched their opponent in wins. A Solid No. 2 remains in 5th place, while the Razabacks sink 1 spot to 4th.

week13On lanes 21 & 22: Paul Hamms entered a showdown to the death with The Belt Strikes Back. Even though highlighted by the skills of Bill Krejci with his 569 series, the Hamms got swept by the Belt. On the adjacent lane, Most Valuable Bowler Demond Robinson drew the spotlight in the Belt with his above-average 600 as they swept the competition. Paul Hamms drop 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while the Belt remains in 1st.

On lanes 23 & 24: Recreation Intoxication couldn't stop inappropriately groping Die Schlag-Maschinen. With the strength of Pat Searcy with his 540 series, Recreation split the series with Die Schlag-Maschinen. Across the ball return, Jerry Krall shined in Die Schlag-Maschinen with his 410 as they matched their opponent in wins. Recreation Intoxication remains in 2nd place, while Die Schlag-Maschinen remains in 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers waged a heated competition against Bowlkake. Headlined by #1 Power-Ranked Dennis Laube and his dazzling 602 series, the Ninjas collected 3 wins against Bowlkake. As for the opposition, #1 Head-to-Head Ken M. Wilson reigned supreme in Bowlkake with his stupendous 652 despite his team notching only a single win. Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers leap 4 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while Bowlkake plunges 2 spots to 6th.

Bowlers entering The 200 Club include: Angela Bradford (200), Bill Krejci (202,204), Demond Robinson (200,200,200), Dennis Laube (222), James Long (217), Justin Strelow (201), Ken M. Wilson (225,203,224), Nik Domann (219), Pat Searcy (203), Rich DeYoung (200), and Seth Gunderson (211)

New personal high games were set tonight by Ray Haynes (182, previous best 174) and Seth Gunderson (211, previous best 201). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Dennis Laube (602, previous best 566).

The 652 rolled by Ken M. Wilson is the new 8th-best series in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Dennis Laube decimated Division 1, while Jason Carpio got the better of Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Amanda Schulte came closest), and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Chad Green came closest). In terms of overall points: Dennis Laube holds the reins in Division 1; Jason Carpio reigns over Division 2; Janelle (Laube) Lamar leads Division 3; and Ray Haynes dominates Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 2nd-place Recreation Intoxication (hcp 50) will spend some quality time with 6th-place Bowlkake. Recreation is expected to roll a little low and get swept; while Bowlkake is forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 8th-place Die Schlag-Maschinen (hcp 68) will tussle with 3rd-place Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers. Die Schlag-Maschinen might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Ninjas ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 4th-place Ashley Razabacks will battle 7th-place Paul Hamms (hcp 2). The Razabacks will likely maintain their current strength as they win the series; while the Hamms will probably drop their average a bit while avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 1st-place The Belt Strikes Back will throw some gutter balls with 5th-place A Solid No. 2 (hcp 20). The Belt is predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with No. 2; while No. 2 is anticipated to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
