The fourth week of Spring 2005 saw three teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (178) and series (502) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (234) and series (663) for the men. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions also kicked off tonight, beginning of 13 weeks of one-on-one bowling excitement! Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: 4 Play kept stealing sips of beer from The Incredibowls. Highlighting the skills of #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Pat Searcy and his stunning 663 series, 4 Play celebrated a clean sweep over The Incredibowls. On the adjacent lane, Phil Schroeder commanded The Incredibowls with his above-average 465 despite his team getting swept. 4 Play remains in 1st place, while The Incredibowls plunge 3 spots to 7th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Sub Parre had some one-on-one time with Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Starring David Parre with his 419 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Andrea Wilson, Sub Parre celebrated a clean sweep over Nellielocks. Meanwhile, Dennis Laube showed off in Nellielocks with his below-average 495 despite his team getting swept. Sub Parre leaps 2 spots in the standings to 5th place, while Nellielocks plunge 3 spots to 6th.
On lanes 23 & 24: All Belt, No Buckle had a delightful time with Handicrappers. With top billing by Demond Robinson with his 494 series, the Belt split the series with Handicrappers. Concurrently, Mark McClendon took the lead in Handicrappers with his 469 as they matched their opponent in wins. All Belt, No Buckle remains in 2nd place, while Handicrappers jump 2 spots to 4th.
Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Big Pin Pin couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Bowlingstar Galactica. Reinforced by David Hayob with his dazzling 515 series, Pin Pin collected 2.5 wins against the Galactica. In the midst of this, Jason Carpio drew the spotlight in the Galactica with his above-average 517 despite his team losing the matchup with only 1.5 victories. Big Pin Pin leaps 2 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while the Galactica remains in 8th.
Bowlers who lied to their significant other claiming bowling was running long then went out for after-bowling drinks at The 200 Club include: David Hayob (227), Demond Robinson (212), Jason Carpio (207), and Pat Searcy (234,225,204)
A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Kris Hiestand (390, previous best 371). Angela Bradford claimed the season's women's high series with her 502. In addition, Pat Searcy bagged the season's men's high series with his 663.
The 663 rolled by Pat Searcy is the new 8th-best series in league history!
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Pat Searcy whipped Division 1, while Seth Gunderson triumphed over his enemies in Division 2. Brad Zollars had his way with Division 3, and Bart Smith eradicated Division 4. In terms of overall points: Pat Searcy governs Division 1; Seth Gunderson leads Division 2; Brad Zollars is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Bart Smith holds the reins in Division 4.

- First, on lanes 19&20, 5th-place Sub Parre (hcp 105) will hang out with 2nd-place All Belt, No Buckle. Sub Parre is expected to perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while the Belt is forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 8th-place Bowlingstar Galactica will chuck some balls with 7th-place The Incredibowls (hcp 13). Handicrappers are predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Nellielocks are anticipated to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
