The fifth week of Spring 2006 saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Tracy Rychlewski landed this week's high game for the women with a 155, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 439. As for the men, Tim Segraves snagged this week's high game with a 246, and high series was earned by David Codding with a 637. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Sweeter Than Yoohoo celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Bowl Movement. Showcasing Tim Segraves with his amazing 601 series, Yoohoo collected 3 wins against Bowl Movement. In the meantime, #1 Head-to-Head David Codding shined in Bowl Movement with his marvelous 637 despite his team notching only a single win. Sweeter Than Yoohoo leaps 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Bowl Movement plunges 2 spots to 4th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Split Happens matched wits with Guttersluts. Demonstrating the prowess of Ryan Doll with his astounding 510 series, Split Happens collected 3 wins against Guttersluts. On the other half of the score sheet, Travis Kleiner dominated Guttersluts with his above-average 403 despite his team notching only a single win. Split Happens leap 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Guttersluts remain in 8th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Tatonka chucked gutter balls with Bora Bora. Led by #1 Power-Ranked Andy McLeod and his powerful 537 series, Tatonka split the series with Bora Bora. Concurrently, Dennis Laube ruled Bora Bora with his 514 as they matched their opponent in wins. Tatonka remains in 7th place, while Bora Bora remains in 5th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! had a delightful time with Yo Mama. Despite the strength of Pat Searcy with his above-average 567 series, the Belt accomplished only 1 win against Yo Mama. On the other side, Andy Metzler reigned supreme in Yo Mama with his 521 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Jason Caton) as his team took the series with 3 wins. I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! remains in 1st place, while Yo Mama remains in 6th.

A new personal high game was set tonight by Andy McLeod (212, previous best 205). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Michael Basham (588, previous best 584) and Andy McLeod (537, previous best 474). The 246 rolled by Tim Segraves is tied for the 10th-best game in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Michael Basham triumphed over his enemies in Division 1, while David Codding creamed Division 2. Tim Segraves topped Division 3, and Andrea Wilson got the better of Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Jason Carpio (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Michael Basham is in the driver's seat in Division 1; David Codding calls the shots for Division 2; Tim Segraves reigns over Division 3; and Ryan Doll and Andrea Wilson lead Division 4 in a tie.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 21&22, 6th-place Yo Mama will test their mettle against 7th-place Tatonka (hcp 1). Yo Mama is expected to roll a little low and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Tatonka is forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
- Moving to lanes 23&24, 5th-place Bora Bora (hcp 84) will compete against 1st-place I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka!. Bora Bora might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Belt ought to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
- Then, over on lanes 25&26, 3rd-place Split Happens (hcp 188) will roll against 4th-place Bowl Movement. Split Happens will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Bowl Movement will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 8th-place Guttersluts (hcp 237) will hang out with 2nd-place Sweeter Than Yoohoo. Guttersluts are predicted to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Yoohoo is anticipated to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
