The Spring 2006 season is now underway, with eight teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (173) and series (501) for the women. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson snagged this week's high game with a 226, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 620. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Bowl Movement had a rendezvous with Yo Mama. Headlined by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz and his 620 series, Bowl Movement collected 3 wins against Yo Mama. On the flipside, Andy Metzler mastered Yo Mama with his 471 despite his team notching only a single win. Bowl Movement leaves the gate in 2nd place, while Yo Mama gets rolling in 6th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Tatonka tussled with Split Happens. Though featuring Andy McLeod with his splendid 461 series, Tatonka accomplished only 1 win against Split Happens. On the other side, James Long oversaw Split Happens with his 519 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Amy Logan) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Tatonka gets underway in 7th place, while Split Happens start off with 3rd.

On lanes 25 & 26: I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Guttersluts. Blessed by Pat Searcy with his 524 series, the Belt celebrated a clean sweep over Guttersluts. Conversely, Erin deVries called the shots for Guttersluts with her 301 despite her team getting swept. I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! starts out in 1st place, while Guttersluts get going with 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Sweeter Than Yoohoo had some one-on-one time with Bora Bora. Reinforced by Thomas Lin with his 518 series, Yoohoo split the series with Bora Bora. Concurrently, Dennis Laube ruled Bora Bora with his 588 as they matched their opponent in wins. Sweeter Than Yoohoo begins the season in 5th place, while Bora Bora commences the season with 4th.

The Tournament of Champions begins in 3 weeks. Here are how the divisions are shaping up so far:

• First, on lanes 21&22, 8th-place Guttersluts (estimated hcp 272) will compete against 4th-place Bora Bora. Guttersluts are expected to amazing and win the series; while Bora Bora is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
• Moving to lanes 23&24, 1st-place I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! will spend some quality time with 5th-place Sweeter Than Yoohoo (estimated hcp 71). The Belt might maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Yoohoo; while Yoohoo ought to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
• Then, over on lanes 25&26, 6th-place Yo Mama (estimated hcp 101) will battle 3rd-place Split Happens. Yo Mama will likely splendid and sweep the series; while Split Happens will probably raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
• Finally, on lanes 27&28, 2nd-place Bowl Movement will roll against 7th-place Tatonka (estimated estimated hcp 328).
