Week 2 RoboHeaderThe second week of Spring 2023 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler roll a new personal best game. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (159) and series (412) for the women, while Nick Kinney earned this week's high game (279) and series (669) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: We find a pairing of virtually equal strengths, as Glory Bowl cowered in sheer terror upon discovering they were rolling against Let's Split Up Gang!. Notwithstanding the leadership of Kent Harms with his above-average 542 series, the G-Holers accomplished only 1 win against the splitter-uppers. On the adjacent lane, James Tott with his better-than-normal 479 series propped up the splitter-uppers as his team took the match with 3 wins. Glory Bowl remains in 3rd place, while the splitter-uppers move up 1 spot to 4th.

week2On lanes 3 & 4: In a matchup that could almost be considered unfair, the foul scoundrels of Just Shitty Enough couldn't stop inappropriately groping the rascally I Thought This Was AA?. Topped by Nick Kinney with his above-average 669 series, Just Shitty collected 3 wins against the bowlaholics. Over on the other side, AJ Hofmann with his fantastic 473 series showed off for the bowlaholics despite his team notching only a single win. Just Shitty Enough remains in 2nd place, while the bowlaholics sink 1 spot to 5th.

Finally, down on lanes 5 & 6: With a battle so mismatched that the outcome could trigger the apocalypse, the unlikely heroes of Sun Dolphins hoped to be able to outperform the bad guys of Balderdash. While headlined by Scott Thompson with his 435 series, Dolphins got swept by Bald Boys. Moving on to the challengers, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Dennis Walling and his terrific 622 series oversaw Bald Boys as they swept the competition. Sun Dolphins remains in 6th place, while Bald Boys remain in 1st.

Bowlers who flashed their boobs to get let into The 200 Club include: AJ Hofmann (228), Ben Spencer (203), Dennis Walling (209,223), John Boren (207,214), Matthew Taylor (248), Nick Kinney (279), and Seth Gunderson (213)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Nick Kinney (279, previous best 268).

JoAnne Barber earned both this season's women's high game and series with her 159 and 412, respectively. In addition, Nick Kinney nabbed both high game and series for the men this season with his 279 and 669, respectively.

The 279 rolled by Nick Kinney is tied for the 7th-best game in league history!

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 1&2, 1st-place Balderdash (hcp 12) will hang out with 2nd-place Just Shitty Enough. Bald Boys are expected to perform well and sweep the series; while Just Shitty is forecast to drop their average a bit while they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 3&4, 6th-place Sun Dolphins (estimated hcp 46) will test their mettle against 3rd-place Glory Bowl. Dolphins might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the G-Holers ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 5&6, 5th-place I Thought This Was AA? (hcp 36) will match wits with 4th-place Let's Split Up Gang!. The bowlaholics are predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with the splitter-uppers; while the splitter-uppers are anticipated to hold steady as they keep the series tied.

*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
