They’re Back!

Posted by BowlingBot November 27, 2019 Fall 2019, Week 15 View Score Sheets

Despite it not being the most likely of the three possible outcomes tonight, See you next Tuesday! managed to clinch the championship a week early! Though it's been a few seasons since we last saw them on top, this makes the third title for this specific team. This is also the third title for Nick Kinney, the fourth for Aaron Barber, the seventh for Jonathan Vigliaturo, and then... twelfth... for Seth Gunderson. Congrats, guys! Now get to work on your awards-night presentation!

(As Scoot needs to get back to packing for his flight, the remainder of this writeup is mostly-robo apart from a few tidbits that need to be called out.)

The fifteenth week of Fall 2019 also saw one team climb in the standings. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (154) and series (429) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (278) and series (670) for the men. Meanwhile, Tournament of Champions is officially down to its final eight bowlers, who will face each other next week competing for two cash prizes! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 3 & 4: Bowl Movements had some one-on-one time with BDE. Highlighting the skills of Conor Clarke with his above-average 512 series, Movements split the series with BDE. Over on the other side, Jeremy Cline with his 547 series showed off for BDE (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Alison Radke) as they matched their opponent in wins. Bowl Movements remains in 7th place, while BDE remains in 4th.

After a decade in the league, rolling 342 games across 9 seasons, Alison Radke has put away her bowling shoes and is leaving us for snowier pastures. We wish her the best of luck in her new career in Chicago!

On lanes 5 & 6: See you next Tuesday!laughed heartily upon discovering they were rolling against The James Tott Center for Kids Who Can't Bowl Good and Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Too. Reinforced by #1 Head-to-Head Aaron Barber and his above-average 571 series, Next Tuesday welcomed a clean sweep over James Tott School for B's as one of the two steps required for them to clinch. Among the other players in the match, James Tott with his mediocre 448 series led the School for B's, meaning for this team tonight the best anyone could do was average. See you next Tuesday! will ends the season in 1st place, while James Tott School for B's sink 1 spot to 6th.

On lanes 7 & 8: Pin Is King 2 had a romantic candlelight dinner with C.I.C.K. Ass 2. Charging into the fray behind Matthew Taylor with his above-average 580 series, Kings split the series with CICK, which was the other action necessary for See You Next Tuesday to clinch. As for the opposition, #1 Power-Ranked Ken M. Wilson and his better-than-normal 670 series reigned supreme within CICK as they matched their opponent in wins. Pin Is King 2 remains in 2nd place, while CICK remains in 3rd.

Finally, down on lanes 9 & 10: In a pairing of teams of similar strength, a late-arriving and straggling-in Scared Splitless faced off against Rear Admirals. Blessed by Curtis Whiles with his 447 series, Splitless split the series with Admirals. While that was going down, Scott Murdock with his 497 series oversaw Admirals as they matched their opponent in wins. Scared Splitless remains in 8th place, while Admirals move up 1 spot to 5th.

Did you miss the Spring 2020 sign-up sheets last night? Don't worry, they'll come around again next week.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 3&4, 1st-place See you next Tuesday! (hcp 9) will hang out with 2nd-place Pin Is King 2. Next Tuesday is expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Kings are forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 5&6, 3rd-place C.I.C.K. Ass 2 will face 4th-place BDE (hcp 168). CICK might maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while BDE ought to drop their average a bit while they endure a rough night.
  • Then, over on lanes 7&8, 5th-place Rear Admirals will challenge 6th-place The James Tott Center for Kids Who Can't Bowl Good and Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Too (hcp 2). Admirals will likely maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while James Tott School for B's will probably raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 9&10, 7th-place Bowl Movements (estimated hcp 1) will battle 8th-place Scared Splitless. Movements are predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Splitless are anticipated to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
