Posted by BowlingBot March 1, 2022 Spring 2022, Week 6 View Score Sheets

Week 6 RoboHeaderThe Spring 2022 position round is now history, and and the championship will be on us before we know it! The sixth week saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (133) and series (367) for the women, while Jonathan Vigliaturo earned this week's high game (236) and series (652) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 1 & 2: With the narrowest of handicaps, Flamboyant Fluffykins shared a few beers with Splits & Giggles. Highlighting the skills of Most Valuable Bowler Dustin Schmeltz and his above-average 540 series, Flamboyant collected 3 wins against Giggles. So what went on with the other team? Well, JoAnne Barber with her slightly-off 367 series drew the spotlight of Giggles despite her team notching only a single win. Flamboyant Fluffykins leap 2 spots in the standings to 4th place, while Giggles sink 1 spot to 6th.

week6On lanes 3 & 4: The Wally McWallingtons had some one-on-one time with Glory Bowl. Although charging into the fray behind Scott Murdock with his above-average 534 series, The McWallingtons accomplished only 1 win against Glory. On the other lane, Kent Harms with his better-than-normal 567 series commanded Glory as his team took the match with 3 wins. The Wally McWallingtons drop 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Glory moves up 1 spot to 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 5 & 6: Going, Going, BALD! hoped to be able to outperform ChuckaScoot. Starring Dennis Walling with his 579 series, Baldness split the series with Scoot Chuckers. While that was going down, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Jonathan Vigliaturo and his outstanding 652 series reigned supreme within Scoot Chuckers as they matched their opponent in wins. Going, Going, BALD! drops 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Scoot Chuckers remain in 1st.

Bowlers ducking past the bouncer at The 200 Club include: Ben Spencer (203), Carl Goetz (207), Dennis Walling (216), Dustin Schmeltz (203), Jonathan Vigliaturo (234,236), Kent Harms (224), Scott Murdock (203), and Seth Gunderson (210)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Jonathan Vigliaturo (652, previous best 648).

Adding to the excitement, the 652 rolled by Jonathan Vigliaturo is this season's new high series for men.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Jonathan Vigliaturo had his way with Division 1, while Dustin Schmeltz conquered Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Ryan Sisco came closest), and Collin Lavery spanked Division 4. In terms of overall points: Matthew Taylor runs the show in Division 1; Kent Harms calls the shots Division 2; Chris Windham is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Collin Lavery dominates Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 1&2, 2nd-place Glory Bowl (hcp 139) will spend some quality time with 1st-place ChuckaScoot. Glory is expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Scoot Chuckers are forecast to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 3&4, 3rd-place Going, Going, BALD! will throw some gutter balls with 6th-place Splits & Giggles (hcp 147). Baldness might maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Giggles ought to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Finally, on lanes 5&6, 4th-place Flamboyant Fluffykins (hcp 18) will tussle with 5th-place The Wally McWallingtons. Flamboyant is predicted to have a bit of an off night and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while The McWallingtons are anticipated to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.

*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
