There were so many high scores rolled this week that it was easy to forget that the season is half over and next week is already the position round! One bowler set a new personal best series, and another rolled new personal high game. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (138) and series (394) for the woman. As for the men, Curtis Whiles snagged this week's high game with a new personal best 245, and high series was earned by Matthew Taylor with a 650. And that's not even all! First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Raining Chimps shared a platter of cheese sticks with Smokin Js. While headlined by Ben Spencer with his 533 series, Chimps accomplished only 1 win against Smokin. Conversely, Most Valuable Bowler JoAnne Barber and her better-than-normal 394 series drew the spotlight of Smokin as her team took the match with 3 wins. Raining Chimps drop 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Smokin jumps 3 spots to 3rd.

On lanes 23 & 24: Gordon Michael's Groupies shared some much needed male bonding time with Name Coming, Curtis Said. Blessed by #1 Head-to-Head Matthew Taylor and his above-average 650 series, Groupies collected 3 wins against TBD. While that was going down, #1 Power-Ranked Curtis Whiles and his commanding 620 series oversaw TBD despite his team notching only a single win. Gordon Michael's Groupies leap 2 spots in the standings to 2nd place, while TBD plunges 2 spots to 5th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Gimme Some Of Your Totts regretted accepting a challenge by Larry, I'm On Ducktales. Though featuring James Tott with his above-average 557 series, Gimme Totts accomplished only 1 win against Ducktales. Simultaneously, Michael Gordon with his 623 series reigned supreme within Ducktales as his team took the match with 3 wins. Gimme Some Of Your Totts plummets 2 spots in the standings to 4th place, while Ducktales remain in 1st.

A new personal high game was set tonight by Curtis Whiles (245, previous best 236). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Curtis Whiles (620, previous best 604).

Adding to the excitement, the 394 rolled by JoAnne Barber is this season's new high series among women.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Curtis Whiles spanked Division 1, while JoAnne Barber topped Division 2. In terms of overall points: Michael Gordon dominates Division 1; and James Tott calls the shots Division 2.

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 21&22, 1st-place Larry, I'm On Ducktales will chuck some balls with 2nd-place Gordon Michael's Groupies (hcp 20). Ducktales are expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Groupies are forecast to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
• Moving to lanes 23&24, 3rd-place Smokin Js (hcp 68) will spend some quality time with 4th-place Gimme Some Of Your Totts. Smokin might maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Gimme Totts ought to drop their average a bit even as they rack up a sweep.
