The second week of Spring 2021 saw two teams climb in the standings, with one sliding into first place by total pins. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (129) and series (356) for the woman. As for the men, Michael Gordon snagged this week's high game with a 236, and high series was earned by Matthew Taylor with a 591. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 7 & 8: While Jeremy and Scoot were off on a romantic date of their own, the remaining member of Smokin Js looked longingly at the remaining member of Gimme Some Of Your Totts and thought "I can whoop him easily". Most Valuable Bowler JoAnne Barber and her 356 series succeeded at first, but after losing the first two games James Tott had enough and brought Gimme Totts back to split the series. Smokin Js drop 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Gimme Totts remain in 2nd.

On lanes 9 & 10: With closely-matched team strength, Raining Chimps celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Gordon Michael's Groupies. Despite a show of strength by Ben Spencer with his above-average 526 series, Chimps accomplished only 1 win against Groupies. Rallying what would shortly become the new first place leaders, #1 Head-to-Head Matthew Taylor and his better-than-normal 591 series drew the spotlight of Groupies (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Dennis Walling) as his team took the match with 3 wins. Raining Chimps remains in 6th place, while Groupies jump 2 spots to 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 11 & 12: Larry, I'm On Ducktales chucked gutter balls with Name Coming, Curtis Said. Notwithstanding the leadership of Michael Gordon with his below-average 564 series, Ducktales accomplished only 1 win against TBD. As this was happening, Michael Whiles with his 465 series shone in TBD as his team took the match with 3 wins. Larry, I'm On Ducktales plummet 2 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while TBD moves up 1 spot to 4th.

Bowlers bribing their way into The 200 Club include: Aaron Barber (222), Ben Spencer (201), Dennis Walling (203), Matthew Taylor (224), and Michael Gordon (236)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Dennis Walling creamed Division 1, while AJ Hofmann ruled Division 2. In terms of overall points: Michael Gordon reigns over Division 1; and AJ Hofmann and Michael Whiles call the shots in Division 2 in a tie.

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 7&8, 4th-place Name Coming, Curtis Said (hcp 20) will socialize with 6th-place Raining Chimps. TBD is expected to perform well and just barely win the series; while Chimps are forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
• Moving to lanes 9&10, 3rd-place Larry, I'm On Ducktales will challenge 5th-place Smokin Js (hcp 126). Ducktales might roll a little low and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Smokin ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
• Finally, on lanes 11&12, 1st-place Gordon Michael's Groupies will share a couple of pitchers with 2nd-place Gimme Some Of Your Totts (hcp 29). Groupies are predicted to see a pretty significant "market correction" to their averages as they get swept; while Gimme Totts are anticipated to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
