The tenth week of Spring 2010 saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (182) and series (505) for the women. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson snagged this week's high game with a 248, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 619. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 25 & 26: 3 Pin Moon spent a romantic evening with Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. Although blessed by Ryan Doll with his above-average 593 series, 3 Pin Moon got swept by the Schlitz. As for the opposition, Bob Brunker commanded the Schlitz with his below-average 509 as they swept the competition. 3 Pin Moon plummets 2 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while the Schlitz moves 1 spot to 1st.
On lanes 27 & 28: Empire Strikes Back waged a heated competition against No Pinheads. With top billing by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz and his above-average 619 series, the Empire celebrated a clean sweep over the Pinheads. On the other half of the score sheet, Phil Schroeder reigned supreme in the Pinheads with his 474 despite his team getting swept. Empire Strikes Back leaps 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while the Pinheads remain in 4th.
On lanes 29 & 30: Bowlumpkin entered a showdown to the death with Lil' Devils. With the strength of Orion Kinkaid with his 409 series, Bowlumpkin split the series with Lil' Devils. In the meantime, Janelle (Laube) Lamar guided Lil' Devils with her 402 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bowlumpkin remains in 5th place, while Lil' Devils remain in 6th.
Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: Little Lebowski Urban Achievers did battle with The Prak Attack. Even though highlighted by the skills of Jason Carpio with his 527 series, the Urban Achievers accomplished only 1 win against the Attack. Simultaneously, Shane Pfaffly dominated the Attack with his below-average 399 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Lawrence Prak) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Little Lebowski Urban Achievers remains in 8th place, while the Attack remains in 7th.

A new personal high game was set tonight by Sarah Sauer (175, previous best 174).
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ryan Doll got the better of Division 1, while Rob Kaszuba spanked Division 2. Shane Pfaffly triumphed over his enemies in Division 3, and Lawrence Prak won Division 4. In terms of overall points: Bob Brunker dominates Division 1; Brett Schroeder reigns over Division 2; Shane Pfaffly governs Division 3; and Lawrence Prak is in the driver's seat in Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 25&26, 6th-place Lil' Devils (hcp 125) will battle 4th-place No Pinheads. Lil' Devils are expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while the Pinheads are forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Moving to lanes 27&28, 3rd-place 3 Pin Moon will share a couple of pitchers with 8th-place Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (hcp 153). 3 Pin Moon might roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while the Urban Achievers ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 29&30, 2nd-place Empire Strikes Back will chill with 7th-place The Prak Attack (hcp 179). The Empire will likely maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Attack will probably hold steady as they endure a rough night.
- Finally, on lanes 31&32, 5th-place Bowlumpkin (hcp 76) will tussle with 1st-place Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. Bowlumpkin is predicted to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Schlitz is anticipated to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
