Spring 2010 Week 6 Robo-RecapThe sixth week of Spring 2010 saw four teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (215) and series (512) for the women. As for the men, Ryan Doll snagged this week's high game with a 215, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 585. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 25 & 26: 3 Pin Moon took turns kicking the ball return with No Pinheads. Highlighting the skills of Ryan Doll with his 567 series, 3 Pin Moon celebrated a clean sweep over the Pinheads. Conversely, Aubrey Moren guided the Pinheads with his below-average 508 despite his team getting swept. 3 Pin Moon leaps 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while the Pinheads sink 1 spot to 2nd.

week6On lanes 27 & 28: The Prak Attack matched wits with Bowlumpkin. While headlined by Shane Pfaffly with his above-average 476 series, the Attack accomplished only 1 win against Bowlumpkin. On the other half of the score sheet, Most Valuable Bowler Orion Kinkaid ruled Bowlumpkin with his phenomenal 505 as his team took the series with 3 wins. The Prak Attack plummets 2 spots in the standings to 8th place, while Bowlumpkin moves 1 spot to 6th.

On lanes 29 & 30: Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz alternated between bowling and dry humping Empire Strikes Back. Starring Angela Bradford with her 512 series, the Schlitz collected 3 wins against the Empire. Simultaneously, Carl Goetz called the shots for the Empire with his 585 despite his team notching only a single win. Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz leaps 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while the Empire sinks 1 spot to 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: Little Lebowski Urban Achievers alternated splits with Lil' Devils. In spite of top-billing by Greg Shelton with his above-average 405 series, the Urban Achievers got swept by Lil' Devils. Across the ball return, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Janelle (Laube) Lamar took the lead in Lil' Devils with her staggering 494 as they swept the competition. Little Lebowski Urban Achievers plummet 2 spots in the standings to 7th place, while Lil' Devils jump 3 spots to 5th.

Bowlers sneaking into The 200 Club include: Adam Messner (203), Angela Bradford (215), Carl Goetz (202), Orion Kinkaid (208), Ryan Doll (215), and Shane Pfaffly (201)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Janelle (Laube) Lamar (197, previous best 195). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Orion Kinkaid (505, previous best 483).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson mopped up Division 1, while Scott Murdock staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 2. Janelle (Laube) Lamar dominated Division 3, and Orion Kinkaid trounced Division 4. In terms of overall points: Aubrey Moren and Bob Brunker run the show in Division 1 in a tie; Adam Messner and Phil Schroeder govern Division 2 in a tie; Greg Shelton is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Orion Kinkaid, Sabrina Gray, and Bill Riley lead Division 4 in a tie.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 25&26, 3rd-place Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz will hang out with 5th-place Lil' Devils (hcp 88). The Schlitz is expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Lil' Devils are forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 27&28, 7th-place Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (hcp 167) will share a couple of pitchers with 4th-place Empire Strikes Back. The Urban Achievers might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Empire ought to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 29&30, 8th-place The Prak Attack (hcp 153) will tussle with 1st-place 3 Pin Moon. The Attack will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while 3 Pin Moon will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 31&32, 2nd-place No Pinheads will throw some gutter balls with 6th-place Bowlumpkin (hcp 120). The Pinheads are predicted to roll a little low, but split the series with Bowlumpkin; while Bowlumpkin is anticipated to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
