Spring 2010 Week 2 Robo-RecapThe second week of Spring 2010 saw three teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (175) and series (464) for the women. As for the men, Ryan Doll snagged this week's high game with a 234, and high series was earned by Dennis Laube with a 592. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 25 & 26: Little Lebowski Urban Achievers shared a platter of cheese sticks with The Prak Attack. Although topped by Mitch Kempker with his below-average 579 series, the Urban Achievers accomplished only 1 win against the Attack. On the adjacent lane, Shane Pfaffly commanded the Attack with his marvelous 425 (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Lawrence Prak) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Little Lebowski Urban Achievers drop 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while the Attack jumps 2 spots to 6th.

week2On lanes 27 & 28: Bowlumpkin entered a showdown to the death with Lil' Devils. Starring Dave Winger with his above-average 412 series, Bowlumpkin collected 3 wins against Lil' Devils. Simultaneously, Janelle (Laube) Lamar ruled Lil' Devils with her 393 despite her team notching only a single win. Bowlumpkin leaps 3 spots in the standings to 4th place, while Lil' Devils plunge 2 spots to 5th.

On lanes 29 & 30: 3 Pin Moon kept grabbing the balls of Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. Showcasing Ryan Doll with his 569 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Adam Messner, 3 Pin Moon celebrated a clean sweep over the Schlitz. Meanwhile, Bob Brunker oversaw the Schlitz with his 519 despite his team getting swept. 3 Pin Moon remains in 1st place, while the Schlitz plunges 2 spots to 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: Empire Strikes Back alternated splits with No Pinheads. Even though highlighted by the skills of Carl Goetz with his 559 series, the Empire got swept by the Pinheads. As for the opposition, #1 Head-to-Head Dennis Laube laid down the law in the Pinheads with his fantastic 592 as they swept the competition. Empire Strikes Back plummets 2 spots in the standings to 8th place, while the Pinheads jump 2 spots to 2nd.

Bowlers bribing their way into The 200 Club include: Aubrey Moren (215), Carl Goetz (203), Dennis Laube (214), Mitch Kempker (213,209), and Ryan Doll (234)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Adam Messner (541, previous best 539).

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 25&26, 4th-place Bowlumpkin (hcp 76) will meet with 7th-place Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. Bowlumpkin is expected to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Schlitz is forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 27&28, 8th-place Empire Strikes Back will tussle with 6th-place The Prak Attack (hcp 189). The Empire might maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Attack ought to raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
  • Then, over on lanes 29&30, 5th-place Lil' Devils (hcp 155) will test their mettle against 2nd-place No Pinheads. Lil' Devils will likely roll decently, but split the series with the Pinheads; while the Pinheads will probably drop their average a bit while they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 31&32, 1st-place 3 Pin Moon will share a couple of pitchers with 3rd-place Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (hcp 177). 3 Pin Moon is predicted to roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while the Urban Achievers are anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)

Wilson snagged this week's high game with a 224, and high series was earned by Mitch Kempker with a 616. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 25 & 26: Empire Strikes Back sparred with 3 Pin Moon. Though featuring Ken M. Wilson with his 586 series, the Empire accomplished only 1 win against 3 Pin Moon. In the meantime, Ryan Doll drew the spotlight in 3 Pin Moon with his 589 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Empire Strikes Back gets underway in 6th place, while 3 Pin Moon commences the season with 1st.

week1On lanes 27 & 28: No Pinheads celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. Reinforced by Aubrey Moren with his 549 series, the Pinheads split the series with the Schlitz.
