The Spring 2009 season draws to a close, with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (192) and series (499) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (226) and series (570) for the men. First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Schlitz For Us, Splits For You accepted a challenge by Chico's Bail Bonds. Showcasing Bob Brunker with his 512 series, Schlitz collected 3 wins against Chico's. On the flipside, Ken M. Wilson laid down the law in Chico's with his 531 despite his team notching only a single win. Schlitz For Us, Splits For You end the season in 1st place, while Chico's wind up in 2nd.
On lanes 21 & 22: Rule 6B sparred with No Pinheads. Although blessed by Ryan Doll with his 490 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder, Rule 6B accomplished only 1 win against No Pinheads. Concurrently, Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder ruled No Pinheads with his above-average 531 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Rule 6B complete in 3rd place, while No Pinheads come out in 4th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, Another Season couldn't stop inappropriately groping WWJB. With the strength of Cory Chorpenning with his 570 series, Another Season collected 3 wins against WWJB. As for the opposition, Rich Foster commanded WWJB with his wondrous 489 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, Another Season close out in 5th place, while WWJB cross the finish line in 6th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Turkey Sandwich had a delightful time with Chicks With Balls. Starring Zach Frank with his 424 series, Turkey Sandwich collected 3 wins against the Chicks. Countering this, Kelly Minihan dominated the Chicks with her exceptional 435 despite her team notching only a single win. Turkey Sandwich finish in 7th place, while the Chicks go home with 8th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends tussled with XXX. Despite being led by Drew Eldridge with his above-average 440 series, Wonder Friends accomplished only 1 win against XXX. On the other side, Rich DeYoung showed off in XXX with his 488 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends drop 1 spot in the standings to 10th place, while XXX moves 1 spot to 9th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Ben Wetteborn (487, previous best 450).
After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Phil Schroeder (Division 2), with landing in second place. Phil will pocket the nice first-place pot, while will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!
