The Spring 2009 season draws to a close, with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (192) and series (499) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (226) and series (570) for the men. First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Schlitz For Us, Splits For You tussled with Chico's Bail Bonds. Featuring Bob Brunker with his 512 series, Schlitz collected 3 wins against Chico's. On the other half of the score sheet, Ken M. Wilson commanded Chico's with his 531 despite his team notching only a single win. Schlitz For Us, Splits For You end in 1st place, while Chico's cros the finish line in 2nd.
On lanes 21 & 22: Rule 6B shared a platter of cheese sticks with No Pinheads. While headlined by Ryan Doll with his 490 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder, Rule 6B accomplished only 1 win against No Pinheads. Conversely, Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder mastered No Pinheads with his above-average 531 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Rule 6B finish in 3rd place, while No Pinheads come out in 4th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, Another Season chucked gutter balls with WWJB. Showcasing Cory Chorpenning with his 570 series, Another Season collected 3 wins against WWJB. In the midst of this, Rich Foster took the lead in WWJB with his fantastic 489 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, Another Season close out in 5th place, while WWJB go home with 6th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Turkey Sandwich took turns kicking the ball return with Chicks With Balls. Starring Zach Frank with his 424 series, Turkey Sandwich collected 3 wins against the Chicks. On the other side, Kelly Minihan drew the spotlight in the Chicks with her commanding 435 despite her team notching only a single win. Turkey Sandwich complete in 7th place, while the Chicks wind up in 8th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends had a delightful time with XXX. In spite of top-billing by Drew Eldridge with his above-average 440 series, Wonder Friends accomplished only 1 win against XXX. Concurrently, Rich DeYoung called the shots for XXX with his 488 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends drop 1 spot in the standings to 10th place, while XXX moves 1 spot to 9th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Ben Wetteborn (487, previous best 450).
After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Phil Schroeder (Division 2), with landing in second place. Phil will pocket the nice first-place pot, while will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!
